I’m a school-going mujer, who comes from a long line of fierce story-tellers.  I began writing in this blog to work on creating my narrative voice, as I was writing my pinche dissertation, having just moved to the Los Angeles area.  I continue to write here for the same reason, but as I write my pinche book.  Now I’m a Ph.D.-holding mujer with a penchant for social justice, committed mentorship of students of color, and lots of questions about whether academia can be nurturing for my heart.
