I told the boys that they had 10 minutes before they had to go to bed. I guess they figured 10 minutes was enough time to do this.

Isn't it just LOVELY? It reminds me of this book. I am MRS.Whishy-Washy, Bridger's the Cow, and Colby is the pig.

Oh lovely mud they did say, although lovely was not the word I had for it.
Can't wait to wash and repeat again and again, all summer long.

Happenings
Wow, it's been a while since I have blogged. I am going to do a quick recap of the past 2 months happenings.
Swimming with cousins at a hotel. The kids were in heaven.
Easter egg hunt. Talk about candy over load.
Easter morning, even more candy.
Me and my "sole" sisters in Boise. We ran the Robie Creek half-marathon. It is the hardest race a I have ever done. Holy-Moly, it was tough, but it least the road trip was fun.(minus the speeding ticket I received)
Cache turned 18 months old, and is of legal age to go to nursery. Going to church is starting to not feel as pointless.
John and I had our 10 year anniversary. We really celebrated it nicely.
We started off the evening at the boys baseball game.
Then ended the night at the pine wood derby. I must say ,it doesn't get any more romantic than that.
Savannah had her dance recital, she had a fun time dancing this year.
Colby, narrating his class play.
The kids at field day.
Cache is at that stage of toddler-hood. You know, the one where he can't make it through the day without getting hurt. This day he more than met his quota.
We took the kids up to the mountains.John let the kids shoot his 22. They thought that was pretty neat.
Dinner is served, hot dogs and s'mores.
We went to Utah for Memorial day to visit the graves of my grandparents, my brother and my dad.
Now I am not disrespecting this woman that is buried next to my dad, but WHOA!
Mostly I just feel sorry for that one package of Mums on my dads grave, when right next door it is over the top with a enlarged glamour shot of this woman, and all those fake flowers.
THe kids playing at the park. Look at Cache, he is so in love with his Grandma!
Typical Savannah. Always getting into my make-up and things. Yes, those are my pink Go-Go boots, don't be too jealous.
Base ball is over, the boys had a great season.
They had a fun award cermony at frontier pies. Your supposed to eat the pie Bridger, not put your face in it.
So, if you ever come over, this is the reason why my house is not clean. School is out now, we still have no yard. It is going to be a LONG summer.
We are finally having some nice weather here in the burg. We filled the pool up, and the kids put on their own sunscreen. They almost followed the directions. They did apply generously, however they did not apply evenly. Not surprising, these kids never follow any directions.

Loving Myself right about now!!!!
So since yesterday was Aprils fools day, I was trying to think of some good pranks to pull. I put some crayons in tootsie roll wrappers and dispersed them to the kids. They caught on before they ate them. Darn it. They are getting to smart. However, the prank I pulled on my husband was the best.
I had come up with the idea that morning while running with some friends. I was going to tell John I was pregnant. All though I knew he wouldn't believe me. My story had to be good, and I had to have proof. I had a Doctors appointment that morning for my on-going thyroid problem, which involves blood work. So my plan was to tell John that the Doctor thought I had a trace of HCG, the pregnancy hormone, and that maybe I should go buy a pregnancy test just to make sure.
So I called my friend Mandy, who is pregnant, and said" Mandy I have a very strange request, will you pee on a pregnancy test stick for me, and I explained why. She was a little relieved to know that that was all I was asking her to do.
So being the great friend that she is, she returned the test to me, with a positive reading. And I just had to wait for John to get home. I waited until the kids were in bed, and I handed him the bag, with the box in it.
His face was priceless!!!!!!
His all your kidding right? Aprils fools?
Nope, sorry dear. The test doesn't lie. The Doctor was going over my blood work and saw a trace of the HCG hormone, and told me to go buy a pregnancy test, and sure enough it was positive.
He put his face in his hands, and hung his head over. He was pretty much devastated.
I had to leave the room because I was trying not to laugh. So I composed myself, and came back into our room. He kept saying the funniest stuff like;
*What if it is another boy?
*Why do you get pregnant so easy?
*Your joking, right?
*I guess we will have to finish off those bedrooms in the basement
*What are we going to do?
*We almost had our youngest in nursery
*I think I am going to throw up
*I guess I will have to sell my snowmobile and motorcycle- not a bad idea!!!j/k
There was more, I just can't remember. I was just loving every minute of it.
So he went to bed early, I stayed up and caught up on American Idol. I started feeling a little sick, almost like I was pregnant. Maybe it was the guilt of lying to my poor husband. So today we get up, and get ready for the day. You can tell he was worried, and didn't sleep much, and he said when he did sleep he dreamt that we had a new baby boy. Well, I sent him off to work, not telling him yet that I was indeed not carrying his child.
I waited for a bit, then I called into his work, and had the secretary run a message up to him that said;
John your wife called, she wants you to know that she is not pregnant, Aprils FOOLS!
He called me soon after, so relieved that he does not have to get rid of his old baby to make room for a new one.
April fools day John, you know I love you!

January Updates
Man where does the time go? I have been meaning to update this blog, but I've just been busy/lazy. Since this is kinda like a journal to me, I am just going to update the happenings at our house for the month of January.
Migh! Migh! The kids have been busy in the kitchen. Apparently cabinet drawers can not be used as a ladder to retrieve items up on the counter.
Cache is getting to be such a big boy now. He can pour his own cereal.
And he is getting taller. He can know reach the water dispenser on the fridge, lick the water off of the floor, and mop the floor all in the same process. It's very helpful.
Savannah had her first dance performance at a basketball game. It was quite hilarious. Those little girls had no idea what they were doing. Don't you love how hard she smiles. It looks like it hurts.
Colby got new glasses, since her broke his last pair in half. Let's hope these are a little more durable. He also lost another tooth, only he swallowed it. He was a little worried about getting paid for it, so he wrote this letter to the tooth fairy, or should I say "tooth". Since you probably cant understand what he wrote, it reads"Dear tooth, I ate my tooth. please leave me some money. love, Colby"
It worked, he woke up $1 richer. And he nags me every day to take him to the dollar store.
Bridger started basket ball, and is loving it. In facts he loves to practice all the time, even though we tell him not to play ball in the house.
This seems to be his favorite place to play. The front entry of the house. He thinks that the light fixture makes a great hoop, only it does not come back down. This particular day that he threw the ball up there, I had just got in the shower. So he decided to get the ball down himself. He went out into the garage, got one of his skis. He attempted to throw the ski up to the light to knock the ball loose. Only when the ski crashed down on the tile floor,it broke .That was such a smart idea. I mean really kid, what were your thinking?????
Speaking of skiing, we took the kids up skiing last weekend. It was fun, the kids did awesome. Colby was out of control. He gets off the lift and v-lines it down to the bottom of the him. Then just gets back on the lift, and down he goes again. He was doing somersaults, and then he would bounce back up again. The kid has no fear.
Both Bridger and Savannah did good, and they stayed with us, unlike Colby who forgets sometimes that he has parents.
So this is pretty much what we have been up to during the month of January. I am thinking I might just start doing a monthly update, unless I find some free time some where.

WHO DAT?

Well, I finally got the guts to cut Colby's hair.I have been reluctant to cut it , because he has such nice hair. My only child with hair. After 4 years Savannah is finally starting to spout some hair, but it's not as thick and nice as Colby's was. But I knew it was time when one of my friends said she couldn't tell which one was Savannah and which one was Colby in the pictures that I have on the side of my blog. So I trusted my good friend Amy to cut the Goldilocks off.
GOING..................................GOING
..........................................GONE......................................
NOT TO SHABBY, HE CLEANS UP QUITE NICELY!It's still kinda a shocker. I keep wondering who Bridger has over, and then I remember that that is one of mine.
So long "SURFER DUDE"

I told the kids that Santa must have thought that our house was somebody elses, because they have not been that good this past year to get as many toys as they did. They agreed with me on that one.
I love these shots of the kids. Bridger is so happy that Santa brought him more games for the wii, so he can rot his brain out some more. Savannah's face is priceless.Who knew a barbie could bring so much joy.Cache is just chillin. He of course did not get the whole Christmas thing, Next year buddy. And Colby completely checked out, playing with his DS.
The kids had tons of fun playing with cousins on both sides of the family. John pulled the kids behind the snowmobile. They had a blast. Love this picture of John. That is some nice snow-fluff you got going on there dear.
HOT TUB TIME! What would a dip in the hot tub be with out a dip in the freezing snow?
Bridger's Birthday is the day after Christmas, poor kid!!! We were able to baptize him last week. It was really nice. All of John's family was up for the Holidays, and most of my family was there. It was a really special day.
Today Bridger informed me that, he was probably going to have to repent a lot.
Well, it least he gets it, and his honest.
