May 15
I'm sorry I didn't take too long to get into some sort of block about writing. I think it's just been busy and I am working on trying to get disciplined in other areas I have let slide. the wedding is in less than two months now . I can't believe it. There are all these invites and RSVPs to get out now.
I've been a bit in a rut I think. I went to the gym today after wasting my money for too long telling myself I'll just go tomorrow. Tomorrow kept coming and I wasn't going. I talked to my brother on the phone and he helped encourage me. Lord knows we all need encouragement. I haven't been eating that great or sleeping that well either. Maybe I am a little stressed. I try not to let it show. I am happy and I am excited about good things happening. I don't know what happens to me.
Tomorrow is May 16. That is the day my Dad passed away 2 years ago. It's been a rough time for Mom especially. She is so lonely. she also lost her mother and 2 sisters and a brother (whom she was very close to ) in the past 2 years. The winter in northern MI hasn't helped. i think there will still be ice on Lake Superior in July! It was bitter cold this year.
I like it when I get the blog going and visiting pages. I'll get there again. I've taken some steps forward so I'm hanging in there!
Enjoy your weekend everyone!

Happy Mother's Day!
Happy Mother's Day to all you Mother's , Grandmother's Daughters and Granddaughter's
This is my Mom and I.
I'm so busy right now but taking a break. I just bought lots of fresh fruit for a Mother's Day brunch tomorrow morning at my church and I have to also go help decorate and set up soon.
It should be fun. I'll be glad when the rush is done though but I suppose it's all part of the excitement.
I Love You Mom!
Mom's smiles can brighten any moment,
Mom's hugs put joy in all our days,
Mom's love will stay with us forever
and touch our lives in precious ways...
The values you've taught,
the care you've given,
and the wonderful love you've shown,
have enriched my life
in more ways than I can count.
I Love you Mom!

May the Lord be with all whose Mother's are no longer with them in the physical sense. May your memories be blessed and happy.
Thank God for the rich influence of a loving mother. The treasure that is part of all she teaches is in our hearts.
You Were There...
You were there when we took our first steps,
And went unsteadily across the floor.
You pushed and prodded: encouraged and guided,
Until our steps took us out the door...
You worry now "Are they ok?"
Is there more you could have done?
As we walk the paths of our unknown
You wonder"Where have my children gone?"
Where we are is where you have led us,
With your special love you showed us a way,
To believe in ourselves and the decisions we make.
Taking on the challenge of life day-to-day.
And where we go you can be sure,
In spirit you shall never be alone.
For where you are is what matters most to us,
Because to us that will always be home...

Double Blessings
Good morning. I have my new computer back for the second time this month. At first we had Linux installed on it but I wasn't dealing with that operating system too well and it seems there are so many windows based things I am more accustomed to that seem to clash with the operating system. I like the way Windows 7 is set up and am getting to learn some of the new programs I have. I have a web cam now. I didn't have one before except for the camera on my nextbook tablet and it's not too great.
It's a beautiful morning and I can hear the birds singing outside. Singing comes easier when Spring is in the air and I think we are about mid Spring now. Everything is so nice and fresh deep green. My husband has my fountain up and running and I like that it attracts my feathered friends. I have some flowers planted and hanging baskets. I have a lot of yard work to do yet. Definitely I need mulch and to do some weed removal.
I have been just loving this weather. I walk to the farms and to the creek a lot so it comes up on my blogs often. Nanook is becoming famous on Face Book and on I love My Husky Page . Smiles. I have to check and see if she was nominated dog of the week. She lost last time I posted her picture but she is a winner with me and there are so many huskies to choose from.
This is my lazy baby. I called her in to try and get her pic. Big yawn and stretch Now she went back to lay down in the kitchen, Thats an apron string over her head and she doesnt seem to care. Silly girl!
Have a wonderful day. Take time to be a friend and double your blessings!
Blessings Each Day
May God's blessing
find you each day.
May the angels protect you
as you travel on your way.
May heaven's light shine upon you
and fill your heart with song.
May God's love heal you
and make you feel strong.
May you always look with hope
on the path that lies ahead
and may friendship
journey with you
wherever you're led.
May you always know the comfort
of happiness and peace,
and may your faith
in yourself and God
never dwindle or cease.

Azaleas
Petals of silken brilliance,
In colors of luscious pinks,
To deep reds,
Grace your tender branches,
With a sweet woodsy perfume aroma,
That floats through the air,
As I walk down the path,
Landscaped with Azaleas.
by Hortense Foster
Yesterday afternoon my husband and I went to a place called Azalea Path. It's so beautiful there. I love to be out doors .
Today has been marvelous weather. I worked in my yard for awhile and also walked with my dog. I love being close to country fields where I can let her run a little without her leash. When it's time to get back on the streets she lets me get her leash back on. she is such a good dog. When we got home she rested under the azalea bush.

Quiet Streams
There's something about a quiet stream. This is in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. It's in an area where there are little towns and villages and not far from Gatlingburg. I have been to Gatlingburg several times and it's ok going through the shops and what not but I am more of a lover of nature and my favorite times were driving up the mountains or hiking along the streams. I can imagine a cabin with this creek in my back yard yet as much as I love it there are also places at home I enjoy as well.
There is a quiet stream
Where my soul longeth
For its refreshing waters
In a world full of wilderness
May waters break forth
And streams be found in the desert
Streams of living waters
Flowing to my body, soul and spirit
I'm wholly refreshed once again
Take me to that quiet stream
Step by step you're leading me
And by that quiet stream I shall stay

Isaiah 58:11-KJV
"And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul
in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a
watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not."
I give thanks for arriving
Safely in a new dawn,
For the gift of eyes
To see the world,
The gift of mind
To feel at home
In my life.
The waves of possibility
Breaking on the shore of dawn,
The harvest of the past
That awaits my hunger,
and all the furtherings
This new day will bring.

Highlands NC
I really loved this place. It is just one of many places my husband and I stopped at on our wedding anniversary travels.
These were taken mid April this year. The weather was perfect just a little cool but warm enough to make it pleasant to hike around. The blues looked deep and beautiful.
I'm trying to get back into blogging slowly but it's a process. i think with me it's feast or famine. I am blogging all the time or very few and far between to nothing. I have need of balance with my time but I am missing the connections here with my friends.
God bless all!
Thinking of Mom
Your Mother Is Always With You...
Your mother is always with you...
She's the whisper of the leaves
as you walk down the street.
She's the smell of bleach
in your freshly laundered socks.
She's the cool hand on your brow
when you're not well.
Your mother lives inside your laughter.
She's crystallized in every tear drop.
She's the place you came from,
your first home...
She's the map you follow
with every step that you take.
She's your first love
and your first heart break...
and nothing on earth can separate you.
Not time, Not space...
Not even death...
will ever separate you
from your mother...
You carry her inside of you...

My Mom is living yet it gets difficult being apart in miles. However distance or even death cannot separate the part of her that is always with me. I know her prayers have protected me from more than I know and her love and encouragement inspire me. God bless all the Mom's
