Just a Test

This is a test , this is only a test. This is a test of the emergency broadcast system. If this had been an actual emergency blah , blah , blah...and so forth. I remember growing up hearing these words on the TV after a long shrill ringing sound. Isn't it funny the way memories come back with just a sight or a thought of something else? I thought about posting some test blogs maybe on public just to see what generates interest but then I thought better of it. I'm not even keeping up with my own blog or blogger friends too well these days. Oh well, perhaps I shall try!

It's been crazy weather snow, rain, ice, sleet, sub zero temperatures and then circling around again.

Any one else out there feeling a little or a lot down? I sure have! I guess the weather doesn't help but there is only a week of February left and we can MARCH on to SPRING !

Tired of cold, tired of snow, tired of winter

I've bundled up and walked in the snow 2 sweaters, a jacket, hat, gloves, fleece lined tights under my jeans and warm socks and boots on the warmest day of the week. It was a balmy 25 degrees Fahrenheit. The dog was happy and I tolerated it even enjoyed moments of watching her act silly and taking some photographs. It's pretty outside but I have a longing for warmth and sunshine and to see the world come alive around me with fragrant flowers that open up to the beautiful sunshine. I'm kind of like a broken record. I am tired of the cold and bleakness of winter.

This morning it was 6 below zero. My family in Marquette MI speak of 18 below. It's bad I know but cold is cold. I've gotten into the carbohydrates and then I scold myself all over again. Sigh! I started the year better but February has been like an endless Antarctica

I'm tired of shivering and dressing in layers of clothes. Sometimes I just can't get my happy face on.

Maybe I can take a long nap and dream of flower power! :-)

not great at blogging right now :-) can't even think of a title

The groundhog saw it's shadow on February 2. Superstitiously that means 6 or 8 weeks more of winter . I can't remember. Realistically winter varies in different places in the country. I would rather be at a beach in Miami right now than standing in the cold taking shadow pictures.

I must simply dream on!

It's a good time to hibernate or it's a good time to give myself a push and just get things done.

If you are a praying person please mention Cheryl . I can't say why on here but God knows and I have someone very loved on my mind and in my heart.

I have a Valentine's banquette to go to tonight with my dear husband. He is a gem to me. No one is perfect but he is perfect for me and his love shines steady. I am blessed.
