WHY SWAMPMUN I?

TRAINING COMES FIRST

SwampMUN prides itself on being a high school training conference. This means that our staff places an emphasis on teaching parliamentary procedure to delegates who may not have much experience competing in Model UN.

Some of the skills taught at this conference include how to steer debate, collaborate with other delegates, speak publicly, and write a high-quality paper geared towards solving the issues presented during committee.

SWAMPMUN I THEME:

PLANTING THE SEED

Before flowers have the opportunity to bloom into beautiful colors, its seeds must be planted first. These seeds cannot be planted on their own, so they require the assistance of someone who can.

SwampMUN applies this understanding to Model UN delegates. Parliamentary procedure must be mastered in order for delegates to blossom into the future's next generation(s) of leaders.

Our staff is committed to providing detailed training as delegates compete, along with highlights the improvements delegates have made as the conference closes.

ZOOM VIDEO CONFERENCE

We understand that travel capabilities are a reason why some high school Model UN teams feel hesitant to register for various conferences. This is why our training conference will be hosted via Zoom Video Conference!

By utilizing Zoom for our conference, teams are given the opportunity to compete in the comfort of their own homes or school. Delegates will also be in the presence of staffers who have experience in competing via online conferences.

All awards will be mailed to the recipients' respective schools for their advisor to pick up.
