New PJs & Hiking
Hunter posing in his new Buzz Lightyear PJs…

We went hiking on the mountain behind our house. The trailhead is 2 min away. Hunter was a champ, he hiked about a half mile all on his own. He fell asleep on the way down. All and all a very fun family outing.

The entry…
Finally getting some furniture to fit the space… Try to imagine new 4 inch baseboards and casing….

Complete Sentences, the Moose and No More Flour!
Isn’t it adorable to hear toddler’s speak in complete sentences? “Hunter, don’t play with that.” Hunter’s reply “I need to play with that”. “Please give that to Mommy, Hunter.” Hunter’s reply “I need that.” Oh the joys of toddler attitudes…..
Here are some photos of the moose who have been visiting our neighborhood for the past 6 months or so. We thought Mama Moose got hit on the freeway last May, but it wasn’t our moose who got hit. She showed up again with baby! Whew! Hunter loves to go out on the bedroom deck and watch the moose.

Here is baby moose, the baby is MUCH, MUCH bigger now….

And Mama…

Hunter loves helping in the kitchen, but there is a new rule…. No More Flour…

Park Silly
Every Sunday is an outdoor market/fair on Main Street in Park City called Park Silly. Lots of local artists, farmers, vendors, musicians, etc…. We went with Keith, Yuri. and Lena.

This weekend we spent some time working on Hunter’s bedroom….

He seems to be enjoying it!
Random
Hunter is still slightly interested, ok, to be completely honest, obsessed with, Kung Fu Panda. We thought perhaps this was a phase he was going thru while we were in Sparks. No, no such luck. We believe this is what prompted his much more limited diet of noodles. Noodles, noodles, and more noodles. Maybe we should buy stock in Top Ramen. Anyway, Ikea had these really cute chairs and Hunter loves his new “movie chair”.

Hunter and I went to a kids carnival in Sugarhouse park a couple weeks ago with Natalie and her boys. Hunter loves playing and keeping up with the older boys. He climbed up into this huge blow up shark slide without any fear and slid down. I was a little nervous because as he climbed higher into the shark, you really can’t see the kids… thanks to C and B (two of the older boys), they kept checking on him and cheering him on. Hunter’s favorite part of the carnival was the blow up twister game. He doesn’t quite get the body part on a specific colored circle, but he still loved bouncing all over it.

Besides the carnival, Hunter really enjoyed the birds on the pond at Sugarhouse park. I think he enjoyed the birds as much as the carnival itself. Thanks to Natalie for inviting us, and especially thanks to Dr. Jeff Burg, Burg Pediatric Dentistry for the carnival. They even have a Park City office now! Did I mention Dr. Burg’s wife was one of my friends from undergrad…. Very fun to see her again after 16 years have passed!!

Dog gone days of summer…. going…. going
Grandma and Grandpa Gibby drove out to Kansas to see The Ashby’s and The Crosby’s in their new homes! To break up the drive they stopped and stayed with us a few nights. Hunter loved reading books with Gma Gibby:

It has been quite hot, upper 80’s low 90’s and Hunter loves playing in the water

We are really enjoying be back home! Mama took a week vacation away from work or “Stay-cation” to spend some fun time with Hunter as Daddy finished out the Yamaha season. We had a great time with Cousin Tasha, Jada and Kira at Discovery Gateway. Hunter was holding Kira’s hand the entire time, leading her around the place. It was super cute! They even acted out a stage play “Where The Wild Things Are” in costume. And the helicopter was a big hit! Thanks for sharing such a fun day!

These last couple of shots are from Daddy’s cell phone. While watching Hunter one day last week, silence….. always problematic. Daddy caught up with Hunter in his room and he was quietly “reading” books in his window seat. We are both really happy that Hunter loves books so much and we hope it continues!! We had a fiasco getting our car registered in Utah, 2 window tints were 3% too dark. So we had to have tint removed and new “passing” grade tint put on. What a pain in the booty! Anyway, while waiting for the tint at the car place, there was a little dog at the shop. Hunter climbed back into the car to get his book so that he could read to the dog!

We hope you all have enjoyed a wonderful summer. Sad to see September already has arrived!! Daddy is already beginning to tackle part of the roof where we had ice dam issues last winter. Glad he is thinking ahead! The hummingbirds seem to have flown south… I guess that means an early winter is on its way….
