Burned the Worm, Sundance and a Foodie
Things have been more than hectic lately. Hunter started a new preschool, Deer Valley Academy, three days a week and it includes ski lessons. His lesson is for two hours and he either has a private lesson or with one other student. If the resort is not busy, he gets to ski each day, if its busy, he skis one day a week on Wednesdays. He has been enjoying it and gets a “report card” each day he skis from his instructor. Hunter “burned the worm” which mean he can ski without an edgie-wedgie (piece of plastic connecting his two skis together). Hunter loves to say “I burned the worm!” He has adjusted quite well to his new school. We also schedule play dates with one of his good friends from his previous school, Cruz. Cruz and Hunter have a great time playing cars together or playing on the bouncing houses at the field house.
I quit my job with PerkinElmer for a fantastic new opportunity with Signal Genetics – Myeloma Health Division. My position is Territory Manager-West. I sell a gene expression profile test that provides risk stratification of myeloma patients, risk for recurrence and overall survival. Corporate headquarters are in NYC. I took PTO at my old job to go to training in NYC.
I was able to take three weeks off before starting my new job on Feb 6th. You’d have thought I would be able to post a blog update at that time, but honestly I did not even enter my office where my computer resides. AND my MAC was running really slow because, according to Barry, I have too many photos and videos on my computer. Thus, he installed a new terabyte something-or-other drive so that I will never run out of space and get glitchy again! Enough excuses already!
During my three week break we enjoyed a great visit from Gma and Gpa Gibby, attended a few Sundance films, and a Sundance music cafe with David Gray, among other extremely talented up and coming artists.
Ella is 10 months old and quickly approaching 11 months. She has been on the verge of crawling for weeks, and rocking back and forth, pivoting around the carpet. Scooting backwards on the hardwoods… well today, she actually did crawl with FORWARD progress! Very exciting! Hunter was thrilled that she would crawl to him. And he would immediate say, “Let’s do that again, Ella”.
Ella is a very good eater, right now she loves blueberries, strawberries, bananas, and pretty much anything that is on your plate or in your bowl. She prefers feeding herself. She is quite a little foodie and loves beef wellington and Meredith’s pasta meat sauce! Ella loves taking a bath, shower or dip in the hot tub!
We love our two little angels! They sure grow FAST!
Oh yeah…Ella does have Daddy wrapped around her little finger…
