Annual Family Photos - 2012

Here are the amazingly stupendous photos taken by our ace photographer, Steve Rydgren of Imaginessence.

What a handsome boy!
Image
Most of Dallin's pictures turned out like this one.
Image
Could he be any cuter?
Image
The Kellys joined us for a wonderfully good time. Check out the super Vincent!
Image
Shayla looking awesome.
Image
Zoran could be Captain America with his good looks.
Image
Jessalyn and Missy look so sweet.
Image
The Kelly family.
Image
And the Montoyas.
Image
Silly Keegan.
Image
Steve was with us for a few hours and the little ones had their "I'm done posing and want to go play right now!" moments.

Dallin and his Daddy.

Look to the horizon.

Tara and her precious boys.

One last family photo as twilight neared.
Image
Okay kids, go play!
Image
Keegan sure loves his Mommy.

We all went out for ice cream afterwards to make the day even sweeter. Thank you Steve for making our family look awesome.

2012, Week Twenty-Five

This week started out pretty much the same way it ended. Biking with the Kellys!
Image
Dane and company brought over delicious sub sandwiches for an awesome lunch. Then it was time to save the galaxy, Jedi Style!
ImageTime keeps on spinning, into the future.
ImageIt finally dawned on us that it was beautiful outside so into the sunshine we went. We saved the grid, Tron style!
ImageWe met up with the extended Kelly family and Justin for a right nice time at Jimmy Mac's.
ImageThen Justin, Shawn, Dave, and Orlando raced each other at the super fast SyKart. Below we see Orlando in the red shirt with Dave right on his tail. The guys had so much fun that they insisted on a double date night with the ladies in the future.
ImageThis might be the best picture of the week. It's super cute!
ImageKeegan developed roseola and was extremely cranky all week. Orlando thought of innovative ways to entertain him and Dallin like the fun balloon and fan activity.
ImageTime to suit up and save the world, super hero style! (You can see how pitiful Keegan looks in contrast to the happy heroes. Poor little guy!)
ImageNot a lot of variety in the Ticket to Ride game as red cards seemed to be the only option, turn after turn. While this may have been frustrating, it was fortunate to occur during that magical time when the Despains become afflicted with the giggles.
ImageWe had planned to go camping with the Johnson's but heavy rains and sick children prevented that. Instead, we jumped around at Sky High.
ImageSunday afternoon and a great time for a bike ride.
ImageThe expressions on theses kids crack us up!
ImageJustin was adventurous enough to retrieve the blue Tron disc from the tree while the kids saved the neighborhood, Beatles style! All you need is love.
ImageHow will the kids save the universe next week? Check back in seven days to find out. Same kid channel, same kid time! Doot-da-doot-la-doot-n-doot!

2012, Week Twenty-Four

With these boys it's just one silly adventure after another.
Image
Going to the library has turned out to be a new favorite pastime.
Image
Nature hike!
Image
Keegan decided that it was high time for him to act silly like the rest of us. He had his big brother in tears with his hi-jinks.
Image
Phatboi will often appear during Keegan's naps and on this occasion, he decided that this spot was were he wanted to be. Dallin had to adjust his train tracks accordingly.
Image
I don't know about you but when I was a kid, I did not look forward to my trips to the dentist. Dallin, on the other hand, couldn't wait to go. And it may seem that he just wants to play in the waiting room, (which is pretty cool), but he actually enjoys getting his teeth cleaned.
Image
The guys don't get together as often as the ladies do but they make up for it with their annual Father's day weekend Mariner's game. Danny and Justin made it to the game along with Shawn and his dad, Dave. Never in all of the Mariner's games that Orlando has attended has the fan base been stronger for the visiting team. A cheer would start out, "Let's go Mariners", only to be silenced by the deafening roar of "LET'S GO GIANTS!!" Not surprisingly, the Giants won 4-2.
Image
Dallin held his own against the lightsaber onslaught.
Image
While tennis time was limited, we made sure to enjoy every minute of it.
Image
And Keegan's sillyness continues.
Image
Dallin and Uncle Danny were best buds over the weekend.
Image
Saturday night, and the reason for all of the out of town visitors, was Shayla's dance recital. She performed in two numbers and was absolutely fabulous! When we receive the DVD of the performance, we'll post her dances so you can enjoy them too. Great job, Shayla!
Image
While Tara eliminated Danny and Orlando in Magic, Dallin constructed towers of power.
Image
Bike ride to the Kellys!
Image
Grandma Sheila and Shayla being goofy twins.
Image
It was a pretty wonderful Father's Day, full of love and laughter.
Image
More fun times with Justin and the California Kellys next week!

2012, Week Twenty-Three

Can he swing from a thread
Take a look overhead
Hey there
There goes the Spider-Man
ImageThe Volvo was in for service and the boys had a great time exploring all of the new cars on the lot.
ImageKeegan was looking pretty cool in the Jaguar XKR.
ImageCan you believe he nearly ate the entire apple?
ImageDallin is already registered for Kindergarten next year but we had the opportunity to attend a kindergarten roundup at his new school where we not only toured the facility, we also met his new teacher. Dallin is so excited!
ImageHis last day of pre-school was a blast as the kids showed off their newfound knowledge.
ImageDallin the graduate and his teacher, Ms. Rumel.
ImageYes! I did it!
ImageThat evening, Dallin and Orlando were treated to an awesome band concert. Dallin's favorite song was definitely the Lady Gaga dance mix. A select number of students received awards based on their merits for the year. The recipient of the prestigious Director's Award was Dallin's favorite babysitter, Mary.
ImageThe things these boys get themselves into sometimes.
ImageDallin's last swim lesson session was awesome and he advanced to the next level! Go Dallin!
ImageOur incredible luck with the ridiculously delicious strawberries continues. Strawberry fields forever!
ImageDallin was not too happy with how his hair would sometimes look, especially right after waking up. Needless to say, he was thrilled to get a haircut.
ImageOur ace photographer, Steve Rydgren, shot us and the Kellys on a beautiful Saturday evening.
ImageHe does good work, no?
ImageWe'll be posting more photos soon.

As if this week wasn't exciting enough, Jessalyn provided us with this extraordinary scene. Lathered up with diaper cream and hand sanitizer, this princess is ready for the ball!
ImagePatriotic pyrotechnic packed popsicles blast off at the speed of light!
ImageTime to burn off that sugar before bedtime. Faster and faster around Keegan until they all fall down.
ImageVisitors, a Mariner's game, and a recital are in store next week!
