2012, Week Thirty-Four

Now this is a rare sight indeed. Keegan happy in the car! Most likely because Grandma and Grandpa Montoya are making the car ride fun.ImageWell, Grandpa outdid himself while playing with Dallin and dropped dead just like Marlon Brando in The Godfather. Dallin, ever the sweetheart, was kind enough to outline his Grandfather's corpse.
ImageJust kidding! Sorry if that was a little too dark for your tastes but that's the Montoyas for ya.
We had a wonderful and fun evening at the Kellys.
ImageEn route to the Seattle Storm game!
ImageOh no! Dallin was captured by the robo-squid!
ImageDallin's first basketball game and he loved it! The fact that he had those inflatable rally instruments may have helped too.
ImageThe Storm were up by 13 points with less than 4 minutes left in the game and a win seemed inevitable. But the Indiana Fever rallied with an amazing comeback including a three-point shot at the buzzer to claim victory. We would have been devastated by the unfortunate turn of events except that we had such a wonderful time and Dallin won this free Seattle Storm shirt!
ImageWe were thankful for Tara who opted to stay home with Keegan so we could enjoy an enjoyable night out together. Thank you Tara!
ImageAs it turned out, we were able to give our good friend Debbie a ride home from Seattle.
ImageTo illustrate just how much fun we had, here's Grandpa Mushroom's hilarious hamburger bit. (Sorry about the shaking camera. It was recorded using the iPhone (no image stabilization) and we we laughing too hard!)
Ahoy there, Keegan!
ImagePhatboi and Keegan are becoming good friends. Mostly.
ImageCarousel at the zoo to kick off a wonderful day with the Kellys and Justin!
ImageThese two and their jokes are just like the birds they're laughing about.ImageWe got to feed some cockatiels!
ImageGroup shot!
ImageWe weren't sure what this lion was so ornery about but he looked awesome regardless.
ImageSuper kids powers activate!
ImageWe haven't solidified our plans for the three day weekend coming up yet so stay tuned because it's sure to be a blast whatever it is we end up doing!

2012, Week Thirty-Three, Part Two

Back home and our car was due for service after the long road trip. Dallin was excited to accompany Orlando in order to check out the cool cars on the lot.ImageWe were finally able to catch the final events of the Olympics that we missed. Orlando's priority number one upon our return was to experience the US women's gold medal soccer rematch against the Japanese World Cup champions. The spectacular match was well worth the wait!
ImageRunning errands sometimes turns into wild adventures.
ImageSoccer fans equipped for Tara's work party.
ImageLook who came to visit!!
ImageTraffic during a game in Seattle can be atrocious so we bypass that headache by taking the train!
ImageWe arrived late to the game but at least Keegan had a solid nap before hand. He was in good spirits for the rest of the day!
ImageThe boys got caught in the giant Mariner's baseball mitt.
ImageBlue trees? We didn't know why they were so vibrantly painted but it was surreal.
ImageDallin literally ran into the Garrs at Westlake during dinner. We each were able to eat whatever we wanted with so many choices available.
Our next stop was the science center where butterflies landed on us.
Image
Keegan loved it!

Keegan navigated the obstacle block course.
ImageThe kid's new favorite exhibit is the swirling vortex of marble madness!
ImageThis robotic street performer was incredible and Dallin was his sidekick for an exciting bit!
ImageDallin got to sound the horn as we flew across the city in the monorail!
ImageDallin noticed the Tron inspired guitar so a photo op was had.
ImageLots of delicious apples waiting to be picked in our backyard.
ImageGrandma and Grandpa Montoya are planning on staying up here for a few weeks!

2012, Week Thirty-Three, Part One

Action is their reward.
ImageTime to head outside and to the park. Keegan loved the wide open spaces.
ImageTroll under the bridge? That's nothing compared to what awaits the poor unfortunate souls who venture to the end of the slide. They suffer the tickling attacks from Aunt Shannon!
ImageCrafty Lydia found an alternate route down.
ImageLater on, we had splashing good time at the pool.
ImageEverybody had an amazing time weather they were plunging down slides,
ImageDiving and swimming,
Imagehanging out,
ImageOr barreling down the bodacious tubes!
ImageYes! Another first for not only Keegan, but Dallin as well. And they loved every minute of it.
ImageHere. Just watch the video to see how much fun we had. Again, it would behoove you to click on the gear button to increase the picture quality and then enjoy it in full screen.

Well, not everyone had a great time. The owner of this Yaris forgot to set her parking break and it rolled down the parking lot and collided with our car. Thankfully, no one was injured. It was also fortunate that the damage didn't prevent either vehicle from driving. Otherwise we would've been in Utah for a lot longer.
ImageAs it was, we were able to continue our vacation as scheduled with our wonderful family the next day at Thanksgiving Point.
ImageAfter devouring delicious ice cream, it was time to burn through the extra energy in fine fashion.
ImageWe hadn't set our minds on anything particular but after viewing the lengths of the lines, we opted to visit Farm Country. We're glad we did!
ImageCows, ducks, rabbits, chickens, goats, and horses were just a few of the animals that we encountered.
ImageWatching the kids squeal with delight was the best part of the day. Watch the fun unfold in the video below!

Knowing that we would be stopping at our cousins place in Idaho on the way back did make the return trip easier. Dallin was so perplexed with the missing phone in the booth at the rest stop that he and Orlando decided to have fun with it instead.
ImageTrampoline party time with Ian, Keegan, and Dallin!
ImageWe were so grateful for Amy for letting us crash and then play the next morning. We can't wait to see them again next year!
ImageWe stopped again on the way home at Grandma Sheila's house. Orlando and Grant teamed up against Uncle Danny and Steve for an extremely close and hilarious tennis match. Later that night, Tara continued her winning streak by dominating Mario Party.
