Halloween Poll

26 Sep
Take a look at what Drew could look like for Halloween. Please take our poll on the right side of the page to help us decide. I will post the poll results when it’s over. FYI Dylan is going to be a train conductor and we are going to try decorate his wagon to look like Thomas the Train for him to ride. He is sooo excited for it so I should get started on it soon.Image

My ‘lil cowboy and pirate

26 Sep
Kevin is going to be Cap’n Hook for Halloween and Dylan thought he looked like a pretty good pirate. I’m glad he likes to keep his hair short though because this much hair on him would be a mess to take care of.

ImageProbably like most kids, Drew thinks it fun to try on everyone’s shoes. He loved Dylan’s cowboy boots and so of course Dylan finished off the look with his cowboy hat.
Image Drew got a yucky bump on his eye last night. He runs fast a lot now and therefore trips a lot and unfortunately the slide got in his way. Poor kid. I have a feeling this is just the beginning of Drew’s owies.Image

Warning-I’m going private

21 Sep

I have been thinking about doing it for a while and due to some recent events I realize I need to go private. So give me your email address so I can make sure you get on the list.

The Letter D & The Train Park

20 Sep
This week at playgroup we went to a park that was right next to some train tracks and had fun train stuff. Dylan is the conductor here. He is just practicing for Halloween because he has decided that he wants to be a train conductor and his wagon is dressing up like Thomas the Train for him to drive around when he trick or treats.ImageI know this is a boring picture but a couple trains went by while we were there and I have never seen him run so fast to get somewhere. He stood there forever watching the train go by. If we are driving and we see a train he gets upset if he doesn’t get to see the front and the back of the train.ImageDrew was very shy when we first got there for some reason. He stood in that spot without moving for probably 15 minutes. I thought it was pretty cute. ImageOnce he got moving he never stopped.

Image This week was the Letter D and Dylan loves to paint. He painted some dinosaurs and actually did a good job.
Image He is always making a CRAZY face for the pictures. After I take it he wants to see it and then laughs so hard. Too silly.

Coney Island

13 Sep
We went to Coney Island for Kevin’s hospital employee appreciation day. It was so packed that we didn’t stay for very many rides. They have quite a few rides that Dylan could ride but he only went on the bumper cars and the helicopters. The pool is huge and we tried it for a while too. The water was too cold for my liking but Dylan had some fun. Drew agreed with me ad had fun putting the lid on and off of the sunblock.Image

Image We took some family pictures while we were there. j/k They started to decorate it for the Halloween stuff they start in a few weeks. The displays were quite scary.

Letter of the Week

10 Sep
Dylan was really excited for me to find a job because I told him he could go to preschool. Well, we changed out minds and I now get to stay at home. Dylan was really bummed so I decided to make my own preschool for Dylan while Drew naps in the morning. He absolutely loves it and is learning a lot. He can already write his name and can recognize all the letters and (somewhat) make the right sounds. So we are doing a letter a week starting with A.Image Each day we do a different craft.
ImageHe practices writing the letter.

Image We love the library and check out books that are good for the letter.

Image He LOVES to cut things out and glue.

Image

Image We made a caterpillar from an old fuzzy sock.

Image He painted that crab all by himself and didn’t even make a mess. I’m sure next time we won’t be so lucky.

Still summer here

8 Sep
We are glad it is still warm enough here to have fun in the water. Dylan has just discovered how much fun it is to play in the sprinklers. We finally got a sprinkler to water the lawn as it is starting to die.
Image ImageDrew didn’t think he wanted to get too close to the action but wondered why Dylan was so soaking wet.

Image Drew has been a little sick but is now his happy, playful self again. He had a high fever for 2 days and then it stopped. Hopefully I’m not jumping the gun and we have a bad night again but so far all day long he has been back to normal.

Bowling fun

3 Sep
Dylan had never been bowling before and since we live pretty close to a “Sports of All Sorts” we decided to take him a couple weekends ago. He thought it was lots of fun and his score(with the bumpers up of course) was pretty close to mommy and daddy’s score.ImageHe picked a green ball because that is his favorite color.ImageI thought he looked so cute in his little bowling shoes.

Image He sometimes would do a little dance after he rolled the ball.

Image

Drew was a good boy just sitting and watching everything. Dylan keeps asking to go bowling again but it might be a while before we go again.

Too Cool!!

1 Sep
ImageDrew LOVES to wear sunglasses and he giggles when he looks at you. He thinks he is soooo cool in them.Image Brotherly love.ImageUnfortunately Dylan thinks he looks even cooler in sunglasses and he steal them from Drew pretty quick.
Image Drew doesn’ t look too happy with Dylan for stealing his glasses. I need to get the other kid sunglasses from the car because it is a battle between boys with only 1 pair in the house.
