You may be wondering what we have been up to these past few months...well, after all of our adventurous moving, we settled in Rexburg, Idaho where Daniel and I began another wonderful semester at Brigham Young University-Idaho. It has been an interesting semester; juggling classes, work, and a very active baby, we have been very busy. We have made it, though, and now we only have one week left of classes and two weeks left until we go to Alabama for the Holidays! Oh, I can't wait.
Lillian is growing like a little weed. She is getting bigger and smarter by the day. She is a tricksy little Bohman...how did she learn to do that?! ;) I love our little girl. She gives the best hugs, open-mouth kisses, cuddles, and her smile is awesome. She has this way of smiling really big and throwing her head back (like she is trying to show off her 7 teeth). I love it when she smiles like that; not only is is cute, but she does it when she is so happy; normally from a food that she loves or when she is being funny. She really loves food, music, nursing, dancing, people, cats, dogs, and Jesus! She actually says, "Jeszzzus" or something like that. He baby talk is funny:
Mom: Da-do
Dad: Da Da
Nurse: Dis
More: Dis
Up: Da
Down: Da
Get me that Thing, Now!: Dis Dis (as she points)
Water: Da
Jesus: Well, it's pretty close to the actually thing..haha, go figure.
Lily has been walking since 8.5 months. She started about 2 weeks after we moved in. She was a little cranky with me one day and got frustrated cause I wouldn't hold her and took her first steps. I remember her grunting or something like a bear noise, then stalking off, but it was more like a bear noise and then waddling off.
This girl loves books and loves to be read to. She likes to turn the page and talk about what is going on or laugh excessively when you say, "a bear!" I will ask her to get
Goodnight Moon out of her toy box, and she will get it and hand it right to me and turn around to sit in my lap. It is part of our night-time routine and she loves every bit of it...sometimes.
Daniel did get accepted to the medschool of his choice, and we will be going to Maryland in August of 2013! We are so excited and proud of him. We are also going to be spending 6 weeks in Alabama for his officer training for the Air force. So, that means more time with my family, yippie!
Many decisions are soon approaching. I have got a major one coming up that I am so torn by. It is something I have prayed and prayed about but I'm not sure what is the right thing to do. I have the wonderful opportunity to go to Oregon in May for one month to participate in an intense study program in Marine Biology! It's my dream-come-true! But that would mean leaving Daniel and Lily behind in Rexburg (they are not allowed to come...blah, blah, blah) for one month. That would mean I would be gone from my husband and my baby for a month!!! It kills me write about it. Such a great opportunity, but I feel like I should be with them.
Then, there is the fact that I can drop my Biology minor and graduate a semester early. That would mean I would actually graduate in April ( I would only have two English classes left). I have so many credits, so I could do an elective minor instead of a declared minor. That would be awesome as well, but it would mean I wouldn't be doing the Marine Bio thing in May. But that would mean I would be with my baby and husband. Oh, the indecision! I really don't know what to do. I still have to get accepted to the program (I'm not sure how long they are going to take on that), and I still have to get my "new" graduation plan accepted. As of now, I'm just waiting, but wondering at the same time what is the best path. A lot more prayers and counsel are needed.
Pictures will follow shortly. *Please enjoy the music while your party goes to bed.
