One Last Hurrah at Disneyland

Out of the 5 years we lived in California we only made it to Disneyland twice. Pam and Ryan and my parents came into town and I figured we should go one last time and I'm glad that we did. You just can't help have fun at the happiest place on earth. I don't have pictures of it but we stayed until the fireworks show and that was probably my favorite part. It's awesome!! I thoroughly enjoyed it even though my kids were grumpy and tired and wanting to go. Sometimes too much of the happiest place on earth can be a little overwhelming. When it gets to that point it tends to have the opposite effect ;) Regardless of being tired it was a super fun day!

Field Trips

One of the best things about being a stay at home mom is being able to go on field trips with the boys. Since I had all 3 boys in school for the first time this year I was able to go on a lot of field trips.

I was able to go with Luke and his class to the Eco Station. I didn't take a lot of pictures on this one. I guess I had my hands full of keeping track of a class full of 5 year olds.

I was also able to go to Knott's Berry Farm with Jimmy's class. They learned all about California history this year in 4th grade and Knott's is full of it. They learned all about the early settlers and gold miners and they even got to pan for gold which was the highlight for most of the kids.

With Ben's class we went to the San Pedro aquarium. I did this field trip with Luke last year too. They have some fun activities for the kids including hatching your own grunyon eggs.

Happy 5th Birthday Luke

Luke turned five and he was into everything Avengers. We had a party for him at our friends pool that was a huge success but it turns out I didn't take very many pictures of it. I was a little stressed out that day because we were supposed to have the party at the apartment complex pool and we arrived an hour prior to the party and found that the pool was closed because some kid had vomited in it. We had to scramble to figure something out and luckily Rosalyn and Jerron came to the rescue and offered to let us come to their pool. They are awesome! Sorry about the pics Luke, I hope you'll forgive me. Luckily I got one of the cake though!

Spring Trip to Arizona

Before we moved to Michigan we wanted to make one last road trip to Arizona to see Grandma and Grandpa and Pam's family. One of the highlights of the trip was going to the Arizona science center. It was a really cool place to visit. We could have spent days there exploring and learning. Science and my boys go together like pb&j. They're little nerds, just like their dad!

They got to learn about brains and hold a real sheep's brain. Talk about real, hands on learning! Doesn't get more hands on than that!

Amber and Eric's Wedding

This year has been the year for weddings for the Ostlers. First Kristin and Mitch. Then Derek and Ashley and last but not least Amber and Eric. Amber was beautiful. The wedding was beautiful. The reception was held at the Provo library and Amber did an amazing job of decorating. . . And somehow, she got Jim to wear a suit to her wedding, which is quite an accomplishment.

Amber refused to let Eric feed her cake. Way to go Amber for not caving to stupid, pointless wedding traditions.

I think the boys wanted to kiss Amber a little too much! I probably should worry about these boys! I can't imagine what they are going to be like as teenagers! Yikes!
