In honor of his birthday today, I have decided to post 33 things I love about Erick. I have incorporated some pictures of him from our fabulous Christmas break.
1. He is thoughtful, always looking for ways he can help make things easier for me and others.
2. He loves children, especially his own.
3. He forgives and forgets quickly and easily.
4. He loves the outdoors.
5. He treats me with respect.
6. He has a strong testimony of the Gospel of Christ.
7. He is a good example to his family and friends.
8. He has a great sense of humor.
9. He makes me laugh
10. He is able to laugh at himself.
11. He always works hard to provide for me and the kids.
12. He is handsome. I especially love his smile and his blue-green eyes.
13. He is athletic.
14. He has a gift for diffusing anger in others. When I get upset, he often helps me to forget why I was angry in the first place.
15. He is a good teacher.
16. He loves to read.
17. He loves to learn new things. He's a great example of life-long learning.
18. He chose to marry me.
19. He is a gentleman. After 7 years of marriage, he still opens the door for me.
20. He constantly looks for ways to serve others.
21. He makes awesome sushi rice and sushi rolls. My favorite is the spicy crab with jalapeno.
22. He is my best friend. As cheesy as that may sound, there is no one I would rather hang out with.
23. He has an amazing memory. He remembers precious moments, gospel information, and anything he reads.
24. He is willing and worthy to serve the Lord in any capacity.
25. He loves to travel.
26. He knows the importance of Family Home Evening and family scripture study and has helped our family remain consistent with both.
27. He can't sit still. He is always moving and doing.
28. He knows random sports facts and loves keeping up on the latest sports news.
29. He is strong.
30. He has always valued the Lord and our family before money and his career goals. (Erick, I hope you know how much this one means to me.)
31. He gives good advice when I go to him with questions or concerns.
32. He honors his priesthood and gives great blessings.
33. He loves to play with his kids, and he makes them feel valued and loved.
