And here we have Idaho...

...winning her way to fame. That's the Idaho state song for those of you needing to brush up on your Idaho state history...okay, for everyone. When I was going off to Idaho for college, friends of mine would actually say "Idaho? You mean people really live there?" Uh, yeah people really live there, some very important people...the original Andersons! And that's exactly who we trecked back there to visit. On our way up though, we made a quick stop at Uncle Carlos's place to help him feed his horses and chickens. It was fun to visit Ryan's best bud Carlos and we were so excited to hear about Carlos and Natalie's baby boy on the way. Congrats!

On to Idaho, where Grandma Anderson had an obscene amount of Easter Eggs ready and waiting to be hunted... Image
True to form, she also had plenty of presents for all (thanks Grandma)...

We were super impressed with their snazzy new place in Idaho Falls, perfectly equipped for grandkids and guests! All the kids loved the toys and movies, and Kaydree and Carver loved having a room to share...Image
Time to party! We got together at Leo's for a little pre-birthday party for the girlies & me. It was fun to get together with aunts, uncles, & cousins we hadn't seen in a while.Image
Ryan really wanted to take the kids bowling for the first time. We arrived just in time to watch the senior citizens bowling league...those seniors don't mess around when it comes to bowling!
ImageHere's K taking a cue from the seniors, bowling is serious business...Image
We didn't dare wake Carver from his nap with Grandpa...ImageBut before long, he was ready to show us his stuff...
Image Ava had a great time watching...
ImageRyan and I took full advantage of the free babysitting and had some fun nights out. One night we headed up to Rexburg to do a session with my brothers at the temple...
ImageImageWe didn't bother to take all the carseats out...not to worry, Bry and Jeff had no problem sitting in them...ImageWe always visit my best girlfriend Tiff when we're in Rexburg, and this time we were lucky enough to be there on the very same day she welcomed Ava Jane Walke into the world...ImageWe love Tiff & Tommy and we definitely wish we lived closer!
The next day, we decided to bring the whole crew to Rexburg and walk around campus. We can't believe how much it has changed! We only ended up walking around for a few minutes though before we were bit with the bitterly cold wind, I guess some things never change.

We had to make a stop at Melanie & Jordan's while we were in Rexburg. It's always fun to visit with them, and we can't believe how quickly their kids are growing up.
Robyn was so nice to treat Me & Aunt Mer to manis/pedis/facials and a shopping trip at her home away from home, Christopher & Banks. Thanks again for the fun girl time!
In an effort to delay the drive home, we stopped in Ogden to visit Lucas & Amie and their crew. We had a fun time hanging out but before we knew it, it was time to head home. I'm not too sure we were ready for that drive again, but luckily most of it looked like this...

The drive went as well as it could have, but it'll probably be a while before we take another long road trip together. I think we were all wiped out and ready to come home sweet home!

Party in Park City

Here comes the motha-load of pictures people. We road tripped from April 1st - April 11th and I have plenty of pictures to show for it. I'll probably do this in 2 posts, but this should be a good start so here we go...
My fam planned a little reunion in Park City, Utah for General Conference weekend. The last time we were all together was January 2008, at Brent and Janeen's reception before Bryan's mission to Mexico. Now, 7 grandbabies and 2 years later, we thought a reunion was long overdue. Rather than even attempt to fly with our 4 littles (can you imagine?), we loaded up the mini and started off on out first major family ROAD TRIP!Image
We made great time on day 1. Heading out around 4am was definitely a smart move, the kids did plenty of sleeping. Another strategic play on our part was moving the twinners up to forward facing carseats for the trip. I'll admit, it was a little preemptive (2 1/2 weeks before their first birthday) but totally worth it. They loved looking around and watching DVDs...
ImageWe arrived in New Mexico in the afternoon with plenty of time to do a little hotel swimming...
ImageThese two became best buds on the trip, I caught them holding hands and sharing snacks constantly...ImageAfter another somewhat peaceful day of driving, we arrived in Park City just in time for snow, snow, and more snow! That same night, 6 of my seven brothers and sisters were all in the Salt Lake Temple together while Jeffrey (the baby boy) received his endowment. It was so neat to be there with our adopted brother Cody, my Carver cousin Jackie and her husband, Aunt Dee Dee, and other extended family members.
The next couple of days were a blur of hanging out at the cabin, taking turns going to the Conference Center in Salt Lake, and watching kiddos. It was way busy but fun. Here we are ready for a Sat. afternoon sesh...ImageIn the evening, the guys headed off to the Priesthood Session while the girlies had a little Girls Night/Birthday extravaganza for yours truly...
ImageLater that night, not even snow fall could stop some of us from some Park City hot tubbin'...ImageThe next morning was Easter Sunday, and some very excited cousins were sure glad the Easter Bunny found the right house...ImageThe rest of us were just down right tired including this crew (I'm sure Ry will be thrilled that I posted this charming pic...I just love how they all have the same sleepy look)...
ImageNext, we were off to Uncle Gary's place where we had an Easter Feast that would put Thanksgiving to shame. Those Stefan's sure don't mess around when it comes to food! Thankfully, there were plenty of baby lovers around so we got to sit and enjoy our food kid-free. My beautiful cousin Kristin... ImageKaydree absolutely could not wait to visit Grandpa Bob. My cute Grandpa has been in and out of the hospital for months, we're all convinced he has at least 9 lives, maybe more. He is practically the 8th world wonder...ImageKaydree has been praying for Grandpa Bob at least 3 times a day for as long as she can remember so she was so excited to meet him. This was the first time that Grandma Gracie and Grandpa Bob could meet the twins too, so everyone was pretty excited!ImageImageImageBoth the good food and the good company at the Stefan's was enough to wipe anyone out, including our 4 bundles of energy...ImageWe still managed to make a quick trip up to Bountiful to say hi to Ryan's Aunt Maryann and Uncle Mark. Before driving up to Idaho the next day, we made sure to make a stop at Temple Square...ImageOur eternal family...ImageIf you think that was a lot, that was just the first half of the trip! Stay tuned for part 2.

The Big Day

I've been MIA from blogging for a while. We took a long vacation and I have plenty of catching up to do, but I threw it all on the back burner to post a couple of pics I took this morning. Here are my little ladies on their first birthday...Image
This has been the most challenging year of my life for lots of reasons, but these are two reasons why it all seems worth it...Image
Happy Birthday Elsie
