Since we have reached our maximum amount of pictures, we've created a new blog and will no longer be posting on this blog (ugh, I wish I had just done this first, but instead I (on a whim) decided to delete all the earlier pictures and now regret it since I wanted to make a book first... which means I now need to find a way to add them again... when I have time... one day).
Anyway... here's our new blog address:

bubbles, bubbles everywhere and not a drop to drink
... name that movie... (willy wonka is definitely the most quoted movie around here... the original (and by far the best one in our opinion) of course).
Today was one of THOSE days... or at least the end of the day made it so. I was quickly trying to scramble up some dinner before the next scream, request, or "I want a cookie. I want a party... ME. ME. ME. NOW. NOW. NOW. I. I. I....." came up (name that movie? last one, promise. (Hook, the second most quoted movie in our house... well this one's mainly just me. Yes, I'm a nerd at heart.)Of course, this was short lived when Jackson started screaming, "LOOK WHAT OLIVIA's DOING!!" I peek my head around the corner expecting to see her with an armful of Jackson's beloved pirate toys, but instead I see the newly bought massive Dawn Soap being poured out on the carpet and squished in with Olivia's busy, trouble-making hands.
I pretty much lost it. Although while I was losing it, I had a very brief thought of getting my camera. But, as soon as the thought came, it left and was overcome with the overwhelming frustration of never getting anything done... and everything always feeling constantly chaotic and crazy all. the. time (please tell me it isn't just me). I've been in a frazzled-crazy lady kind of rut lately. I picked up Olivia (covered in sticky, blue Dawn soap), washed her off and placed her in her room and closed the door while she screamed and cried in protest. Iscreamed asked Jackson to please play with his sister,while I attempted to clean up the utter disaster on my family room carpet... on my rented family room carpet nonetheless.
Let's just say that even my mom's steamer/wet vacuum could not get it up... and there were soapy bubbles EVERYWHERE, and the carpet is STILL soaked in soap.
Also, while washing the many towels I used to mop up all the soap, soap started coming up from the basement drain of our very old house. I ran over twice to check to see if our neighbors had soap in their basement... but they never answered, so we can only hope that they do not. UGH. Who knew soap (and little one year old girl... who makes anything BUT little messes) could cause so much trouble!?.
Professionals are coming tomorrow... don't even want to think of how much it's going to cost.

Olivia turned ONE!
I still can't get over how FAST this year went. My baby girl is ONE!!! It was my last month of taking her monthly pictures for her first year. There are moments where I feel a twinge of nostolgia looking back and realizing how fast both my kids are growing, but most of the time I find it the most rewarding part of being a mother. I love watching Olivia grow, her personality come out, and am excited for all the amazing milestones she has ahead of her.
For her birthday, we all had cake and ice cream with Grandma Jensen (Grandpa was in the middle of tax season... which equals working until crazy a.m. hours every night... poor guy). Olivia LOVED the chocolate cake and ate it up right away... with a massive smile on her face the entire time. She also loved the tiara we bought her... she is such a GIRL. Stats and details of Olivia at one to come... for now enjoy the pics.

the beginnings of summer {wahoo!}
I'm such a summer person... we've had a few days of glorious, warm, sunny weather and I've been floating on cloud 9. Here's a day out in the sun... that ended with us getting locked out of the house by Mark when he headed out to the library (accidentally, of course) and me running barefoot with both kids in my arms to my mom's a couple of blocks away to call Mark to come and get us! All I could think was, thank heavens it's warm outside.
their slinky happened to match her outfit perfectly
Livvy looooves climbing up these stairs and then...
screaming/talking/squeeling at people as they walk by.
oh the frustration of having a big brother always smothering you with kisses.... or shouting NOOOOOOO everytime you disturb his pirate toys.
enjoying some magazine reading with mom in the warm sunshine with a diet coke & apple juice= heaven.
this smile sums up how we all felt that day.
Take me out to the ball game...
Mark and Jackson have already gone to several Bee's games (mostly thanks to a lot of extra tickets Robert gave us), but I finally got in on the action on a nice spring evening. We stayed 7 innings, although Jackson wanted to stay even longer to run the bases afterwards, unforutunately Olivia did not... it was well past her bedtime and she doesn't handle it as well as Jackson does. But, we had a lot of fun... and we'll definitely be enjoying many games this summer.

{Easter, Spring, & Pirates}
Easter was great... we dyed eggs, made sugar cookies, hid and hunted for Easter eggs, and had a family dinner that included yummy food.
Miss Olivia watching us dye eggs.
Jackson LOVED dying Easter Eggs. We couldn't keep up with him dropping all the eggs in the dye... and then literally grabbing them out with his bare hands when he though they were done.
Mark was so surprised when he saw the Easter bunny had come!!
Finding the Easter eggs like a pro.
Enjoying the sunny weather!
Captian Jack
Yes, that is Olivia's headband that he's using as his eye patch. Also, yes... he did come up with it completely on his own.
The Easter bunny must have known that Jackson's dad was tired of seeing him running around in his sister's headband.
