M is for Museum

Image
We joined Cyndi and her kids at the Natural History Museum today.

I had not been to the new museum and it did not disappoint!

There were several labs with toys and many interactive displays. There was more information than we could absorb in one trip. And with so many people I only managed to lose one kid...and that was only for a few stressful minutes.

K is for Kisses

Image

K is for the kisses that provided a sweet treat after lunch...and the ones we planted on Mason's cheeks today after his baptism.

Kate was sick, so the musical number was replaced with an invitation for all Primary children to come up and sing.

Mason's baptism was lovely. In his journal he wrote: "I got bibtised in April 11 2015 it was fun it felt like sweeming." Shem performed the baptism and Grandpa Dave and Grandpa Steve were the witnesses. I believe this is the first Priesthood Ordinance Grandpa Steve has been able to participate in since his re-baptism.

While we were waiting for Mason and Shem to change there was a poster for everyone to sign.

There were some sweet messages from his grandparents, great grandparents, Primary teacher, ward members, and other family members. (I like the backwards message from Uncle Danny.)

Shem then confirmed Mason a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and gave him the gift of the Holy Ghost. He admonished him to make righteous choices to have a happy life, to be still and listen to the Spirit, and to remember that he is a great son and a helper to his mother.

Shem was joined in the circle by Grandpa Dave, Grandpa Steve, Great Grandpa Blanchard, Uncle Danny, Uncle Paul, Uncle Jake, Uncle Richard, and Brother Miller.

Afterwards we went to our house for a nice lunch.

Mason, we are so proud of you and your desire to get baptized!

We love you!
Kisses!

J is for Jump

Image
We do a lot of jumping at our house.
I tell Kate to jump out of bed.
I tell the boys to jump in the car.
I ask the boys not to jump on the couch.
I also ask them not to jump on each other.
And of course, they love to jump on the trampoline.

H is for Happy {Birthday Aunt Christina!}

Image

Aunt Christina lives in Africa so we had to use Skype to wish her a Happy Birthday! We had party hats and a Happy Birthday banner. She blew out her candle from 3,000 miles away and we happily enjoyed her cake for her.

We packaged her birthday gifts and shipped then off to Niamey. I'm so happy she is coming home for the summer!

G is for Guns

Image

Anyone that knows my boys knows that they love guns. Oddly enough, it took some grueling effort to get every little guy outside for the battle.

I targeted Adam...

So when I turned around he shot me in the head.

It was great fun and everyone was a good sport.
