Halloween was Great!
Jenn and I had a family party planned with games for the kids and adults. Last year we had a game called guess what body part this is. And well it was very funny. This year was the same but with bugs. We did not get to play many games because everyone was catching up which was still very fun. And everyone dressed up. I even had Ben dressed for the pictures. Thanks again Jenn you’re the best!
Baby Sitting for Janae and Jason for 10 days.
I had all 4 of their kids while they were on a cruise and Ben was in AZ. I know what you are thinking I was crazy for agreeing to babysit, but I had a lot of fun. The kids were really good and we had a lot planned. The big thing was painting. I love to paint and it is quite and easy. I have wooden shapes for them to paint then when that was done I had them make a picture using the shapes they painted. they also liked homemade pizza night. I had the dough ready and they made there own. they rolled it and topped it with what they wanted. they liked it so much they wanted pizza the next night. The Best part for me was watching them sit by the oven and watching their pizza cook. they thought it was the coolest thing. They ate so well we did not have leftovers both nights. Saturday before I left I took them to Chuck e Cheese and for Ice cream. I think the kids had a good time and I really enjoyed getting to know them better.
Thanksgiving.
I can't wait. Ben and I are going to my mom and dads. My parents just moved into their new house. Then this weekend we are going to Vegas. Ben has to work and well I get to lay out by the pool and spend the nights with him. I just love spending time with my husband he is amazing and I'm grateful I have him in my life. I love you so much baby.

A Beautiful Summer.
I know it has been along time for me since I updated my Blog.
Catching up, this summer was great, I’m wishing it was still here. Ben and I spent so time at our favorite vacation spot with our family at Lake Powell. We have talked many times about this, and this is our number one spot we love going every year. Ben was working very hard on wake boarding. He was getting pretty good. Hopefully next year he will get to ride some more, it is fun to watch him.
We also had the opportunity of going boating with Ben’s friend/co-work Dave; he was giving Ben some advice on wake boarding and also kicking butt on the tubes. It amazes me that Ben has no fear to try new things.
I learned how to shot a Gun. I know that is big for me because I have always been scared of them. I’m not ready to get my own but now I know how to handle one.
For some big news we finished our last bathroom YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!! =)
It was the biggest and we had to get it done fast for an appraisal. This means we have one more room to remodel in the house and a lot of finish work in the rooms. Having a house is a never ending story but we love it and Ben is wonderful when it comes to dedications to work on it. I don’t even have to ask. He still has time to help out family with their tile jobs. He spent days with Jason on there basement. It looks amazing, hard work always pays off.
Ben has been traveling a lot this summer to name a few places he has gone, San Francisco, three times.(His favorite place to work. To tell the truth he hates going there it is cold. And you know pride week.) New Orleans, New York, Phoenix, Orlando, Kansas city, and Vegas.

Good News.
Ben started tearing out the upstairs bathroom over the weekend. This is the last bathroom that needs to be worked on. Everything was BLUE. Don’t get me wrong I love blue BUT I don’t think it works with toilets and tubs.

Everything is out. Thanks to the help of Clint and his Bro Rob. The 3 of them took out the big heavy Blue tub and put it by the side of the house. I don’t know how Ben and I are going to get rid of it. All of that will be taken care of in time. Anyway I plan on painting tonight so the walls will be ready or maybe that was the laundry room that I’m painting. I don’t remember. Anyway it is on its way to being finished. =)
Also we picked our beans and peas for the first time yesterday they were getting so big. And we had them for dinner; they were so sweet and tender. The garden is doing very well for the 1st year.
Our tomato plants are getting so tall. Some are almost as tall as me. As see by Jenn. And Ben did a good job on the wall. I can’t wait for the yard to be finished.

Last weekend
I went camping with Tim and Jenn. Jenn told me she was taking me for my Anniversary because Ben was out of town. We went to Fillmore, to the Lava caves. They were very hard to find. The 1st day we drove around for a good 5 hours looking for them. When we were driving around we saw a group of people walking around a hill so we stopped to see what they were doing and if they knew were the caves were. They did not know where they were, their group was looking for Sun Stones. Sun stones look like broken glass. They are very beautiful yellow gemstones, which are protective and for good luck. So Jenn and I gathered some.
Also we drove and found a sand flat Tim went crazy on it and I thought we were going to get stuck. After we stopped at a safe place, we played in the sand with the dogs.
Even though we did not find the caves we had a lot of fun. The next day we found a map at a gas station and found the caves. They were really cool one went on forever but it was too dark to see and I did not want to crawl throw them with no light. It was very funny to watch teddy, he is a really good climber because in can fit in between the rocks. He was also fast and would go find a shady spot and lay down and wait for us.
At the gas station they also said there were hot-pots around we could not find them so we went back to camp and sat in the river. It was so cold.

Codner Garden 2009
Ok Ok, it has been so long since I have updated my blog, to the point where I have missed posting wonderful things that have happened in our life. Well one big thing that Ben and I have completed is our Garden. It is big and full of vegetables.
Here is the short story;
Ben started digging up a sprinkler that was in the way of the garden, come to find out that the sprinkler line was fenced over when they put up the fence about 20 years ago. To add to the story last year our back door neighbor was complaining that our sprinkler was broken and spraying her garden. We could never find a broken sprinkler. So Ben keeps digging and there it is, the broken sprinkler that our neighbor has been complaining about. I don’t feel too bad because for the last 20 years we have been watering her yard.

Here is the short story;
Anyway when Ben was taking out the sprinkler he hit a Black cable. So we called blue stakes and have them mark where the cables are and what they are for. There are 5 lines a foot apart running down the middle of our garden. That’s no good. For the next few days I call the company’s to see how we can have them moved. Here is something new I learned, those company’s own an easement of our land and they do not have to move them. If they were not going to move them Ben was. Well not move them but bury them deeper. Let’s just say that Ben dug and dug till he had a trench 5 feet down. Then come the fun part, finding a way to get dirt into the back yard. Tim and Jenn helped us. We took down the fence and drove his truck into the back yard. By the 5th load I was ready to have someone bring us dirt. We had a truck bring 15 yards of dirt to the house and dump it on the drive way. The problem was still there. How to get dirt into the back? Shovels are great but man are they slow. After the 1st truck load I gave up! Ben rented a Bobcat and in 2 hours moved all the dirt into the back yard. We finished building the wall around the dirt and planted. It is in 2 months later then what we wanted, but done.

Catch up
I have not had a lot of time the last few weeks to update my Blog, so there is something’s I get to write about. The most important Ben is home from his two week trip over seas to Spain and France. He went over for work and extended his stay there with Clint to tour. He said it was the coldest time he has ever been in, and the wind was every strong. He was telling me about a lady at the conference that was picked up by the wind and thrown down to the ground and broke bones. He has been talking about The Louvre Museum, Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame Cathedral, and so on. I have some pictures.

Birthday shout out
Dallin’s Birthday was Jan 31
Trent Jr’s Birthday was Feb 9
Gage’s Birthday Feb 12
Finishing touches on the house.
We are now able to start finishing touches on the house. One that I have been working on this last week is a rod bar with pictures hanging from it in the entry way. With the saying “Together, we have it all” above the bar.

Cant wait.
By the way I can't wait for Valentines Day! It has always been a fun day. So I put some of my favorite love song on for you to listen to.
Yea for us! We have carpet.
Friday night Ben, Clint and I worked very hard to get the house ready for carpet on Saturday. Pulling up the old and cleaning and make the floor so it did not make noise. Saturday morning we had carpet laid in like 3 hours to lay 3 bedrooms and a living room. Last time it took them 8 hours to lay 3 rooms and a hall way. And it looks really good. Then we spent most the day cleaning the house. We still have a lot to clean up and organize. Now we just need to finish the molding so we can put our room back to order.

Because Janae asked.
Sunday Ben and I made dinner for the family. We made Yellow Curry and Sushi. Here is the yellow Curry recipe we use. Sorry Janae I don't know where to put it on face book.
Yellow Chicken Curry
- 2 to 3 Chicken Breasts Cubed
- 2 Tablespoons Oil
- Curry Paste (see below)
- 1 Can Coconut Milk (I think you need 1 ½ to 2 cans. We love the sauce)
- 4 Medium Potatoes
- 2 Red Bell Peppers Cubed
- ½ Teaspoon Sugar
- 1 Medium Onion Cubed
- ¼ Teaspoon Cinnamon
- ¼ Teaspoon Ground Cloves
Curry Paste mix in Bowl
- 1 Tablespoon Cumin
- 2 Teaspoons Coriander
- 3 Teaspoons Yellow Curry Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Turmeric
- 2 Teaspoons Red Chili Pepper
- 1 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper (If you like it spicy)
- 2 Teaspoons Salt
- ½ teaspoon Ginger
- 4 Cloves Garlic Pressed
I like to peel Potatoes and rap them in tin foil and cook in oven one hour before I start cooking makes the dish faster. I like to cook in a non stick pan.
Cut chicken in to bite size cubes.
Cut onions into bit size cubes.
Sauté Chicken with onions, Oil, Cinnamon, and Ground cloves while chicken is cooking. Then add curry paste.
Cut potatoes in to bite size cubes also cut Red bell peppers, when chicken is cooked add Potatoes, bell peppers and sugar. Cook Peppers to your liking. ( We Like them a little firm) Add coconut milk till simmering. Serve with Rice

About time!
It’s the New Year and I’m already behind. So Ben and I have been working very hard on the house and are planning to have carpet laid this weekend. We have textured and painted the 3 bedrooms upstairs and the living room. Ben has made a bigger door for the master bed room so we can fit Ben’s BIG bed he made in high school. For anyone that was not seen it you are missing out. It is the best bed I have ever seen. Anyway back to the house the master bathroom is finished it only took 4 days and 20 drill bits to hang the shower door.

The living room looks so big with everything out of it and the blinds down.
This is the new doorway to the master bedroom. Ben also had to add wood flooring it looks really good.
Teddy even helped me tape the rooms before I painted. He took the rolls of tape from me and would run around the house. I don't know how he could see but he did not run into anything.
In high school I wanted a change in my room so Ben helped me stamp a border. Looking at it now I don't know how mom could stand it, but this is the last time you can see our work. Memories!
