Happy 1st Birthday, Gabe!
Our little man turned ONE on Saturday, and we had such a great time celebrating his big day with family and friends! Here are a few pics from his first year of life as well as a few from the party (more party pics to come...I ran out of time).
Someday, I'll post the 1 year slideshow I made for him as well as his birthday letter. But you know me....I'm usually a month or two behind. ;)

Adjusting...
This face pretty much sums up our day yesterday...
After an hour and 45 minute wait (during naptime!), Gabe got his cast yesterday morning. Even though the fracture is above his ankle, they had to put a full leg cast on so that it doesn't fall off. The good news? He only has to wear it three weeks! And it's water-proof! The bad news? After yesterday, I thought, "This is going to be a L.O.N.G three weeks." Thankfully, he is doing MUCH better today. The cool dino cast:
He was great while they put it on...no squirming, no crying, chill. He was fine on the way home and fine when we picked up brother, and he took a good long nap. After nap, though, he was one frustrated baby! Our days in pictures....
Day 1 with Cast:
Just pitiful...
"Why God?! Why hast Thou forsaken me??"
"Cool, a piano."
"Cool, a piano."
I get knocked down...
But I get up again...

Taking it for a spin...to his favorite place...

"This was fun and all...but how do we get this thing off??"
Hmmm...Does this cast thing make me look fat?

Thanks everyone for your encouraging words and your thoughts and prayers! I'm sure he'll be fine...just another adventure to add to our list.
But I get up again...
You're never gonna keep me down. (You know you all just sang that along with me...:))
Taking it for a spin...to his favorite place...
Getting a little more used to it...notice my other son escaping in the background? He's done with this whole "poor Gabe" thing. :)
"This was fun and all...but how do we get this thing off??"
Day 2 with Cast:
Cast? What cast?
Back to his normal mischief
Thanks everyone for your encouraging words and your thoughts and prayers! I'm sure he'll be fine...just another adventure to add to our list.
On a funny note...in order to get Noah to leave our friend Benjamin's house yesterday, I told him that Gabe has a cool cast with dinosaurs on it! A few minutes later as we were driving away, Noah said "Mommy, Gabe has cool dinosaurs...AND a castle!!"
