March thru May 2012
I finally found time to blog. I don't think anyone even follows my blog anymore it has been so long, lol. But this is pretty much my personal journal so here goes. The last 3 months have been so fun filled and busy.
We blessed Abigail on March 11 2012. She was blessed by her father Christopher R Lee. He gave her a beautiful blessing and she looked beautiful in her dress made by her Nona. Her Grandfather John R Lee and Uncle Patrick Lee stood in.
Our first big outing with Abby was a trip to the Waco Zoo. What a great little zoo. There were so many fun animals and creative activities for the boys to see and do. They loved all the animals and the animals were all so active and alive. They probably loved the Asia exhibit the best. There were orangoutangs and baby tigers. They had chimes built into the ground and a human gong. We bought season passes so we can go again this summer and hopefully in the fall too.
Benny started playing soccer this spring ad really had a lot of fun running up and down the field. He had a great coach who was patient and understanding. He really seemed to have fun with the kids and the kids all seemed to get plenty of opportunities to play all the positions.
He is also finishing up the first grade and reading really well now. He still has terrible handwriting, but that is because he always rushes through his assignments. He has a great teacher Mrs Ball who keeps me informed and has been really helpful with his ADHD. He loves his science teacher Mr. G and thinks he is smarter than daddy.
Caleb and Joshua have decided that sleeping anywhere but there bed is fun. Chris and I find them in all kinds of weird places when we go check on them after bed time.We have found them sleeping in the closet, one on top of the chest and the other on top of the toy box. We have also found them on the hard bedroom floor or camped out in there pop tent. Sometimes I search the whole house only to find them curled up in the guest room closet. I have even woken up to them on the floor next to my bed.
Those two can really get into some mischief together. Usually they play really well together but sometimes Caleb likes to tease Joshua and they end up in a fight. Joshua sometimes likes to be pretty demanding and will insist on getting what he wants. So they can both be a little rotten at times, but even then they are adorable.
Abigail is growing like a weed. A little too fast for my liking. She is laughing and talking all the time now and really enjoys sitting in her bumbo seat. I found that if I set her in front of the back door while the boys are outside playing she will sit for a long time just watching them play. I can get a good bit of stuff done this way.
She is a perfect mix of all the boys and almost everyone tells me she looks like someone different. Abby is a absolute delight and we all dote on her terribly. I am afraid we are in for it soon. She is going to be so spoiled. SHe is a good baby and never cries unless she is in need of something. SHe sleeps 8 hours at night for me and has been since 6 weeks.
Easter weekend my mom and dad came down and we had fun coloring eggs at the park with all of our friends from church. Then on Sunday the boys had fun hunting for their baskets before church and hunting for their eggs after church. I don't think Abby cared too much for the confetti eggs, but I enjoyed eating her candy for her.
For Mothers Day I got to take Benjamin to the skating rink for the first time, just the two of us. He did better than I expected for the first time and actually went around the rink holding my hand about ten times. I got in for free since it was my special day. On Sunday the kids cooked and cleaned for me and made me a delicious cake and decorated it for me, while I took a nap. I have the best boys ever.
Benjamin got to go see The Avengers midnight showing with Chris the last week of school to celebrate them finishing another year of school.
We are glad Chris finished his third year of medical school. He has decided to be an anesthesiologist and has started his fourth and final year of school, medical school that is. He still has at least four years of training in residency. we are so proud of all the hard work he has put in. we couldn't ask for a better husband and father.
Well thats March through May, now I just need to catch up on all of our summer fun.

Abigail Harper Lee
Well she is almost 3 weeks old and we can't imagine life wit out her now. Abigail Harper Lee was born on February 3 2012 at 8:32 A.M. She weighed 7 lbs. and 10 oz. and was 18 inches long. SHe is my smallest baby so far. She came out healthy and strong. No lung problems for her. We had a nice 3 day visit at the hospital where we had lots of visitors.
Some of our friends from church came by and some form medical school too. My parents came down for the weekend and to help while I was in the hospital
and Chris's mom came for the first week.
Chris's grandma came for the second week.
Since this monday I have been on my own. Abigail is just a joy to have. She rarely cries except when she is hungry. She loves to be cuddled and held and like all my kids would rather sleep in the bed with me. Benjamin loves to hold her and really likes to hold her while I cook dinner. He is anxious to get to carry her while walking, ha. I am not quit ready to let him do that.
Caleb still doesn't pay too much attention to her, but thinks she is pretty and will say hi to her if she is in the room.
Joshua always wants to pet and kiss her.
He likes to talk about her tiny toes and fingers and compares them to his. He is also figuring out what body parts we have as girls and boys. He is a little confused about mommy though and for some reason thinks I should have both. Abbi had a little bit of Jaundice when she was born, but is doing much better. I think she will start chunking up very soon.
We love her so much and can't get over how tiny she is. Getting up all night with her is taking some getting used to, but I love the alone time I have with her and luckily Joshua and Caleb are pretty good while I nap during the day and don't cause too much trouble. Chris is just absolutely smitten with her and claims he likes her better than the rest of his kids. Although he does have a bad habit of telling all of them they are his favorites when they are alone with him.
I have been so blessed wit help from friends and family. I have had wonderful dinners brought over and plenty of well wishes and phone calls. Hopefully in a couple more weeks I will feel good enough to start working out and keep all this weight I have lost off. They say six week recovery for a C-section, but I usually feel totally back to normal by 4 weeks. So far I am feeling great and have to remind myself not to lift anything too heavy. I am totally off pain killers and have been for about a week.
I am so blessed to have such a wonderful healthy family. We cannot ask for anything more.
