Blessings
Wow, the sun is shining and it's another beautiful day from our Lord. It's great to see, only problem now i see all the dust everywhere in the house! Another day cleaning house is at hand. There of course is clutter on the bar. Afterall, isn't that what a bar is for?? There was a brown paper bag puppet with something inside. I just couldn't help myself. I pulled it out and there it was,,, a darling note of thanks from my sweet Emily that said Dear God. It read, "Thank you for helping my Dad find a job." WOW... it was a year ago last week that Billy did just find a new job. My, how time does go by quickly. But Emily had just made this Wednesday at church?! It hit me, she was thanking GOD for something that was really a BIG deal for our family a year ago and she thanked him again this week. And people say children don't remember and don't understand the significance of working. Dear God, Thank you for my daughter who is teaching me to never stop being thankful for the blessing from you!! Especially the blessings of having children.

Revenge....
It's been a quite relaxing week thus far. YAHOO!! Weeks like that are far and few between it seems. One squabble that's worth mentioning. The boy upset the girl. He ate some of her candy. Actually ALL of her candy without asking. Not just any candy but the BAG of gummy jolly ranchers that she had chosen at the store. Plus he ate the butterfingers that he had chosen. The plotting began. Emily carried around a notebook for 2 days. She was writing down ways to 'Get Even' with Titus. Two pages worth!!! Some examples: put pepper in his drink, get a glass of water and throw on him while sleeping, put makeup on him while sleeping, STOP the TV during his show,-that one i didn't want to witness. And YES she did carry out a couple of her schems. Titus had apologized but she knew a sincere apology opposed to one that was just said to pacify. Girls do KNOW the difference. Titus might as well learn that early in life. After i knew about this dilema i spoke to her alone about revenge and how bad it is. How God expects us to come to him and not to take matters into our own hands. Then i spoke to Titus about sincere apologies, taking things that aren't ours even if it's his sisters candy. It was a small event but one that held a life lesson. Billy and i had shared some laughter once it was over and the kids were asleep. My how they are growing!

Life In Our Mansion
I've been contemplating blogging for some time. I decided this would be a wonderful way to make notes of what's happening in our life. What a great gift to pass to Emily and Titus when they are grown. Also, this would be wonderful for Billy and I as we sit in our rockers someday and read about the little things we might have forgotten. So here goes! But WAIT, i have to have a title, a name, something for the world to see. What shall it be? Something unique but something that really relates to us. Life in the McBay Mansion. That's it!!! As a girl growing up, I always dreamed of living in a country mansion on a hill. Well, I have it. By no means is our home huge, luxurious or even a mansion in the way most people in the world would view it. But it is a mansion to us. Our little country home on the hill is full of love, laughter, tears, warmth, grace and forgivness. Also a place where friends, family and acquatances and most importantly Jesus Christ is always welcome. So Welcome to our Mansion and the happenings within.
