6 YEARS!

Six years ago today this happened:

I am happy to announce that after six years we are happier than ever. Our lives have changed and at times I think we are completely chaotic.  It seems like we are constantly on the go and sometimes we forget how lucky we really are. We feel so blessed to have our two little angels, our own home, good jobs, and each other.

Happy Anniversary Matt!

I love you!

Father's Day, Halle is 10 months, and my first outing as Head Coach

This past weekend was a really fun weekend. We had a great time celebrating both my Dad's birthday and Father's Day. I also had my first tournament as a head coach so that was fun as well.

My dad's birthday is on the 18th and we had a birthday BBQ at their new house. It was a lot of fun! Bret, Jan, Bella, and Calder were in town, both sets of Grandparents were in town along with my Aunt Diane and my Uncle Terry. We also had my Aunt Kay, Uncle Steve, and cousin Andrea there for the dinner. It is so much fun to have everyone come visit. We loved it and Ryan was in Heaven. He didn't know what to do with all of his Grandparents around and a cousin to play with.  He and Bella were inseparable!

On Sunday we celebrated Father's Day as well as Calder's blessing day. It was a nice day and we even had the opportunity to listen to Elder Holland speak. He just happened to be in the ward where Bret blessed their baby. It was really neat. He spoke directly to Bret about the blessing and then spoke about Father's. The spirit was amazing.  We then headed down to celebrate with Matt's family and eat some yummy food.

Ryan was so cute he kept telling Matt, "Happy Father's Day Dad!" He said it like twenty times!

The last highlight of the weekend was my first outing as Head Coach.  We had a tournament at UVU on Friday and Saturday. I knew going into it that it would be a tough weekend. We haven't really practiced together and the girls really don't know the offense yet. We did a good job and won two games. We did lose three games but each game we improved and I saw a couple glimpses of what we have to look forward to. I was emotionally exhausted afterwards and very glad to have that behind me. Coaching is stressful!!!

Finally, Halle is 10 months old. She is growing up so fast and sure has figured out how to get around. She has even attempted the stairs (but didn't get far). We love our little girls so much!  Here are a few pictures of her playing while I make dinner. She loves her dishes!!

Go Halle Go!

You might have guessed, based on the title of this post, that Halle is crawling.
She has been close for a few weeks now and on Sunday she figured it out. She gets moving pretty quick when she really wants something. I'm pretty sure that she will walk pretty quick because she goes from crawling to standing in a bear crawl position all the time. She is just a strong little girl!

In addition to Halle crawling our lives have changed quite a bit during my little blogging break.

About a month ago I was officially named the new Head Basketball Coach at Mountain View High School. I am really excited to have this wonderful opportunity. It will be a challenge but I have wanted to be a Head Coach since I started playing competitively.  I remember thinking in college that I understood the game and could tell someone what to do better than I could actually do it.  It must be in our blood or something because Drew is coaching at SUU right now as well.  If you are in Utah County during basketball season you should most definitely check out a game :)

Other than that we are finally able to enjoy the nice weather. We went up to our property this last weekend and had a great time with my parents. Halle and Ryan love it up there and are in HEAVEN on the 4-wheelers. We are so lucky to have somewhere so close and so beautiful!
