One more attempt.

Well, if you know us (and you should, or let's face it...you shouldn't be reading my blog cuz that would just be wierd if you didn't know me) we don't have a good track record with pets.

Sadly, my kids want them SO bad. So, thanks to Tanya's kids getting hermit crabs this summer, we took the plunge and got some for ourselves recently.

They are pretty easy maintenance, they don't do much, nobody is allergic to them and my kids feel like they have a pet. They are perfect for us!:)

Lexi's Birthday.

Lexi turned FOUR on the 19th. That was all caps cuz I still can't believe that my baby is FOUR!!!
She had her first friend party and, of course, it was princess themed.
She loved her decorations and made me take a picture of them from every angle:)

Posing with her princess balloon.

Her super cute princess cake she picked out. the castle and princess's were toys that she got to keep. Trying to explain to the other little girls that they were welcome to have the piece with Belle on it, but they can't keep Belle...wasn't fun:)

Image

Posing with her cake...and yes, that is a new short 'do' she is sporting. she took some scissors to her hair & to get it fixed we had to cut of about 4 inches:( it actually turned out super cute.

We had a tea party lunch.

Image

We also painted nails, made purses out of jean pockets and played musical pillows, which was a huge hit. the girls also had fun just playing with balloons most of the time.

Everyone having lunch (except Lauren who wasn't there yet) L-R Amber, Lexi, Kate, Capri and Klara.

Getting sung to.

And opening gifts. She got spoiled with lots of girly, princessy toys.

Happy Birthday Lexi Loo!! We love you so much, I really can't even find the words to describe what you mean to me. I love having a little girl, I love the bond we have. I love how you have utterly completed our lives and wrapped every one of us around your finger!

Love you so much!!

Breaking Dawn baby!:)

Well, unless you have been living under a rock, you should know that Breaking Dawn part one came out last week.
as usual, we got a group together and hit the midnight premiere and party and had a blast! 2 movies ago it was just me and Tanya, last movie there was 5 of us and this movie? we got 16! At this point, it has become less about the movie and more about just enjoying an awesome night out with the girls. (don't worry, we still thoroughly enjoy the movie!)
here are just a few random shots from the night.

Image They had a table set up where you could get feather and/or tinsel extensions. Above is Tanya & her mom getting their tinsel done. Below is Kim getting hers done. Kim came all the way from Boise to join us. We hadn't seen each other for 2yrs so we just timed an overdue visit with the party:)

My awesome team Jacob face painting!:) Kim got a team Edward one.

We hit Chili's for dinner.

Our whole group right before we went into the theater. We had SO much fun! We even made shirts that say "old enough to know better, awesome enough not to care"

and that about sums it up:)

Family Pictures

We got our family pics done during UEA (we got a lot done that week!):) These were a few of our favorites. We got them done at Fotofly which is the best place ever to get pics done...if you are in the market you should google their website. LOVE them!

Image

Image
They tried SO hard to get a picture of all the kids jumping together but they just couldn't do it. Lexi could not, no matter how hard she tried, jump at the same time as the boys. We did get some funny pics out of it though!:)

Don't be a hater!

Did you know that Utah sells more tickets to the Twilight movies than any other city in the nation...and that my friends, earned Salt Lake City a stop on the Breaking Dawn Cast & Concert tour!:)

So, Tanya went to SLC and got us our tickets and a few days ago...we went out for a night of fun! We got to stand by the red carpet and see the stars as they arrived. Then we went inside and 3 bands from the movie soundtrack played for us and then we had a Q&A with the actors. SO much fun!!

Tekarri, Me, Tanya and her daughter Megan enjoying the evening.

The crowd just got bigger and crazier as the night went on. What loyal fans we are to brave the cold for hours and hours! (our feet were so sore from standing all day that we could hardly walk after!)

Image

This was Nikki Reed signing an autograph for someone. (she plays Rosalie)

Image

Peter Facinelli (Carlisle)...during the Q&A during a quiet moment I yelled out "I love you Peter!" and he totally blew me a kiss! And don't worry, we determined that it was ok for me to yell that since it's my hubby's name...we can't help it if Peter Facinelli thought I was talking to him when I was really just telling the world how I feel about my hubby:)

The two people right up front in the black and red coats are Tanya and her daughter. They brought their Twilight book and Megan held it and got the autograph of every actor that showed up!

Charlie Bewley signing autographs (Demetri)

Image

Jackson Rathbone.(Jasper) He was by far the most outgoing and friendly of all of them. He was signing stuff for EVERYONE. they finally had to drag him inside.

All of them inside during the Q&A.

Can't wait for this Thursday...partay and midnight movie premiere!!:)

Random

I always have a few pics that there aren't enuf of to do a whole post about...so, why not just do a random post:)

We carved pumpkins. This year we put vinyl faces on them and then just drilled holes everywhere so the light would shine through all over.
We ALWAYS paint our pumpkins, but this year the kids begged to carve them....so we did. Of course, this was the year that it was in the 90's most of October and with a South facing house...they sat in the sun all day long and went rotten really quick. It was really gross!:(

Lexi got to make a poster about herself for school. She was so proud of it.

Image

Peter washed his car...and got a little help from a super-hero!

Image

Sports finished up. Hadley was only doing soccer, Devin was doing soccer and flag football. Between that, school, two church callings and a hubby working tons of hours...I was starting to lose my mind! I am always a little relieved to have sports done even though we LOVE it. This was Hadley's soccer team. He has had this coach the whole time we have lived here(almost 3yrs...I can't believe we've been here that long!) and we love him so much! He is so good with Hadley!

(sidenote...I was released from my church calling with the cubscouts so my load feels 1000x lighter!)

Image

Trick or Treating!

Image

And of course...a little driveway painting. Peter spent a few days sealing all our concrete so Lexi kept herself busy one afternoon copying him and pretending to paint the driveway:)
