January

January
The month of January was pretty low key, just recovering from my mastitis and getting back into the swing of things. I started my boot camp and running and have had fun working out again. Kennedy has been a pro at going to the Y, she just sleeps. Haha. The workers there tell me that they have only seen her eyes maybe twice. Just something about the Y that make her fall asleep.
The end of January my parents came up for Kennedy's baby blessing. It just was too quick, they just stayed the weekend.  I wished that they could of stayed longer. Unfortunately my Grandparents aren't doing well health wise, and needed to get back to help them.

Lots of playing around the house while mommy got better. Makayla loves her princess toys, she seriously can play with these things for hours...just in her own little world.

These two are at such a good age, they play together so well. I love hearing them play, sing, and dance together. I hope that they always want to match their outfits. So cute.

Kennedy's baby blessing. It was such a perfect day.

Our family of 5...so weird to think still.

The day before Kennedy's blessing, Rhonda had left us a present to open. It was a beautiful white baby blanket that Rick and her had picked in Bethlehem before his passing. When Rick saw these he had decided to buy each of his children one of these to bless their babies in. This sincerely was the best gift that we have received. We will cherish this blanket forever and always think of him.
Cory gave a beautiful blessing, there wasn't a dry eye. We could truly feel Rick's presence during the blessing, we know he was in that circle!
After the meeting, a lady in our ward had come up to Cory to tell him just how touched she was during the blessing, she went on to tell him that she could feel as though someone else was there. This lady had no idea about Cory's dad and his passing. Truly a special day for everyone.

Kennedy missed most of her party because she was sleeping the entire time, but she was awake for a little bit so we snuck a few pictures of this happy girl.

Grandma was able to get a few smiles out of Kennedy before they headed back home.  I hate saying goodbye. We have yet to say goodbye without tears, it just wont happen.

Dec 2012

Dec 2012

I've already got behind on my blog posting...funny how that happens. So I'll just have a big post of all that has happened and hopefully I'll get caught up on this.

CHRISTMAS
This year for Christmas we stayed in Washington and were able to enjoy it low key in our home. Every year we would be traveling to either Washington or Utah, so it was really nice to stay home and be in our jammies all day.
Grandma came over for a good part of the morning and afternoon. We opened presents ate a big breakfast and talked to loved ones all day. Perfect day.

The girls loved seeing Santa!

I got a new camera lense for Christmas, it's been fun playing around with it.

NEW YEARS
New years wasn't exactly the best for me...I ended up getting mastitis and it was horrible!! We had made plans that night, but instead I was laying sick in bed.  The girls had a fun day with Cory and Grandma on New Years day at the Woodland Zoo...I just wish I could of come, it looked like a fun trip.

They came back telling me all about the birds they got to feed.  Probably their favorite part

Late Maternity Pictures...

Late Maternity Pictures....

I had gotten these pictures done during the fall, from my good friend Chelsi. I've been working with Chelsi this year on doing senior pictures sessions. I do the hair and make-up and she does the pictures. We make a pretty good team! Check out her website (http://chelsigreenwoodphotography.com/)
My photo session probably lasted 30 minutes beause we both had to rush off to our client. She did so good in the small amount of time we had! It was just something fun that I wanted, glad that I have them!!

Adjusting to three

Adjusting to three...

Our little Kenndy is one month old. I can't believe how fast this month has gone by! Kennedy is starting to grow...I told her to stop it, but she didn't listen to me. Her toes are starting to push through her newborn jammies, it kinda makes me sad when they start growing out of there newborn clothes. I just love the newborn stage, it's probably my favorite stage. I have loved putting Kennedy in the same outfits and jammies that I put the other two girls in. It brings back such sweet memories.

Adjusting to 3 has honestly been a lot easier than I thought. Probably the hardest part has been dealing with the the other 2 girls. Miley is going through a funny stage where she wants to change her clothes 10 times a day...and Makayla does everything Miley does, so she changes her clothes 10 times a day too. That's 20 outfits! I just cant keep up with all the wardrobe changes. I was so fed up with them that I had Cory install child locks on their drawers. That solved that problem. But it didn't solve my new problem of having them take there clothes off and run around naked!
Kennedy has been a breeze, she barely makes a peep all day. She is so content. During her awake time, she'll just sit in her swing for hours and just watch us play. I do feel guilty that I haven't been able to hold and cuddle her like I did, well with Miley...Makayla didn't get held that much either.
But when the girls go to bed, I get to soak up my cuddle time with Kennedy. Cory and I fight over who gets to hold her at night. (I think because who ever is holding her, doesn't have to deal with the other 2 kiddos when they get out of bed. haha)

Kennedy sleeps like a champ, at night she's up about every 4 1/2 hours. She'll be up at midnight, then again at 4:30 and then at 9. She's even had a few 6 hour stretches! So I feel well rested and still have energy to play with the girls when they wake up at 9 too.

She is a great nurser, nursing has been a breeze. She even takes the bottle so I can leave her with Grandma or Cory for a bit.

Miley and Makayla have been awesome big sisters to Kennedy. Makayla is constantly smothering her face repeatedly saying "hi, hi, hi, hi".
Miley loves sharing her toys with her. I'll go to check on Kennedy and she's got toys covered all around her...hmm who could of done that? They both beg to hold her whenever she's awake. And whenever she happens to cry they'll run over to her and say "it's okay, it's okay." If there is a binky nearby, they'll try to shove it in her mouth. I know they are just trying to help . :)
You'd think Kennedy would cry whenever the girls are nearby, but she doesn't seam to mind at all. There have been a few times that the girls have hit her head and made her cry, but that's about it...so far.

Another thing that has made adjusting really easy is that I haven't made dinner at all since Kennedy was born! The first week home we had a bunch of family and friends help us out by making us dinner, then my Mom came and made us dinner for a week. Since my mom left we've been eating my pre-made freezer meals.
For the last couple months of my pregnancy I made about 30 freezer meals. I started making so much that we had to buy a freezer for our garage...I even had to put more meals in my mother in laws extra freezer too!

Having three has had it's moments though. Going out in public by myself is challenging.... Kennedy usually sleeps the whole time, but still lugging around the car seat with two rambunctious toddlers is no easy task. Going to the bathroom in public with the girls is even more difficult now. I can't do it with out a handicap stall. Let's just say whoever is the bathroom with us at the same time is probably laughing there heads off. My public affairs are very brief now. :)
I am so lucky that we have Fred Meyers though...grocery shopping is possible with it. I just drop off the 2 girls in the playland and I get to shop for an hour. I think it's worth paying a little extra to shop there just to have that hour of freedom.
I'm counting down til Kennedy is 6 weeks...that means I can drop her off at the YMCA and I can work out again!! Very excited about that. :)

I think I expected the worst about having three, so that's why I think having three is easy. Moving from 1 to 2 was harder for me than 2 to 3. Miley and Makayla were 14 months apart, so having them that close together was very challenging. Miley wasn't even walking when Makayla was born!
Kennedy and Makayla are three years apart, and to me that is so much easier. They are actually helpful to some extent. :)

I just love my 3 girls!!

Birthday Girl

Happy Birthday Makayla!!

I can't believe our sweet Makayla is 3 years old!  I've always called her our "sweet" Makayla because she has always has a sweet domineer about her. She so polite with everyone. I get complements all the time about how polite Makayla is. Even as a newborn she was so content and loved watching Miley play...just waiting for the day she could join her. And oh how she loves Miley, just yesterday she spent a one on one sleepover party with Rhonda, and the moment she came home she runs over to Miley and gives her a big hug! Just melted my heart. You should see these two play, it's hilarious. Makayla copies everything Miley does and says...even facial expressions.

I was just looking back at some old pictures of her, and just made realize how quickly time goes. She once was a little newborn like in the picture below.  Happy birthday Makayla, we are so lucky that you came into our lives, our family just wouldn't be complete without you in it!!

Kennedy's Newborn Pictures

Kennedy's Newborn Pictures

Can I just say that I love trade work! Trade work has definitely come in handy for me over the years. Another great bonus for doing hair, everyone needs there hair done! I found a friend in my ward who wanted to do some trade work...umm yes please!!  She has done an amazing job! I seriously had no idea what all went into taking newborn pictures. She's got it all down to a science...
I had to keep Kennedy awake a whole hour before, so when it was time to take pictures I just had to feed her and she'd be out like a light.  We ended up taking these at my mother-in-law's house since she has a lot more space, which turned out to be a good thing cuz I had no idea how much stuff  was needed for these pictures.  Just a few things she brought.... a bean bag chair, lots of blankets, lots of baskets, fur, bows and hats, wraps, outfits, back drops, fake floors, and huge lights. I'm sure there was a lot more too, that's just all I saw.
Not to mention that this took almost 4 hours to take...but these turned out amazing so it was all worth it!!

Sorry there are a lot, and I didn't even put all of them up...Enjoy!
