The new blog is (kinda) ready. I'm sure there will still be lots of tweaking. But I want to blog...(insert dramatic pause)...I need to blog. So it's good enough for now.
A couple of things to note first.
1. For some reason (and if anyone can help me here I'll love you forever!) the address is case-sensitive. Be sure you type the part after the slash exactly like this ThePigBear. Emphasis on the T-P-B. Got that?
2. Also, I'll love you forever if you update your links and bookmarks. I don't want to lose any of you!
3. You might notice that I've simplified the title to "The Pigbear". I felt weird about this at first because I didn't want to single Sarah out BUT we never even call her that anymore (she's strictly Pi'bears) and in my mind The Pigbear has become the blog...not the girl. So there you go.
Enjoy!

new year, new blog.
It's coming! I've finally gotten to work on updating this site as well as my business blog. I hope to have everything up and running in the next couple of days so I hope you'll stick around to see it. I have tons of pics to share but don't want to blog them here since this site has already been migrated to the new one and any posts I do between and then won't come along for the ride. In the meantime, check out the FAQ post below and add any questions you might have.
Happy New Year friends!!!

see you in the new year!
We headed out of town the day after Christmas (officially known around here as Brent's birthday). We'll be gone for a few day and although I have limited internet access I don't have a card reader on my laptop so no photos. =( When we get back though I'll have a slew of Christmas stuff to share with some beach and grandparent goodness thrown in for good measure.
In the meantime, is anyone up for another round of photography FAQs? Seems I've been getting lots of emails lately in that vein and my guess is lots of you got new cameras for Christmas (woohoo!). So let the questions fly if you have them and I'll get started on "your questions, answered - part III".

memories abound.
We just returned from our Christmas celebration at my mom's house, or, "pretend Christmas" as I referred to it for the kiddos sake. How do you explain to a three year old which present-giving occasion is actually Christmas and which one is the real deal - all the while knowing (and hoping to relay) that the real deal is actually only in your heart? Sheesh!
Our first pretend Christmas was lovely. There were frothy warm drinks and sparkling lights and gleeful children and family games. My mom and stepdad's house is so cozy in the winter time...something about it just brings me peace. Maybe it's the wine. ;)
Saturday night mom started Sarah on a Christmas card collage project that our prolific little artist very much enjoyed. Almost as much as Meghan and I enjoyed it 25 years ago. Mom pulled out the albums for memories' sake...

the winner(s!)
To avoid leaving any of the fun details out I'm reposting Janelle's email from this morning in it's entirety: (emphasis added by me)
As for everyone else who is still interested in Shaklee cleaners I will offer another chance to win free stuff! Who doesn't like FREE STUFF?!?! :)
Anyone who puts in an order between now and December 31, 2008 will be entered into another drawing for $100 FREE Shaklee Products of their choice! The winner will be able to pick $100 of what they want from the website and I will also pay for the taxes, shipping and handling.
Keep in mind…
1. There is no membership requirement, however, one will provide you a 15% discount on ALL Shaklee products
2. Shaklee products are NATURALLY SAFE & CLINICALLY PROVEN EFFECTIVE, ALWAYS 100% SAFE TO USE, ALWAYS WORKS and ALWAYS GREEN
3. Shaklee also provides 100% money guarantee, no questions asked policy. I can answer any questions that your readers may have. They can email me at janelleanne @ gmail.com or call (801) 518-9659. I don't stock pile products so everything is done online and shipped directly out to them! I can help walk people through the website to make things easier while ordering too. To order go to www.shaklee.net/JanelleAnderson
I want to thank you and everyone else for sharing their stories with all of us. As a mom (dad's too), we all encounter those scary moments with our children and I'm thrilled B-Ro was not hurt! My mission is to educate families and eliminate the toxic scares and accidents in people's homes. They are truly avoidable when it comes to cleaners. The Basic H2 I'm giving away can replace all your bathroom, kitchen, carpet, furniture, floor, glass, etc. cleaners and it's so safe you can wash your fruits and veggies in it! The best part, it literally costs about 25 cents a gallon making it an affordable option for everyone!
I hope not to sound like an infomercial either, I just get so excited to share and want people to know that this is such a positive choice they can make for their family.
"Erin,
Wow, what a wonderful response you've had to your giveaway! I love caring parents and I'm really excited to share with them. We don't have to have toxic cleaners in our home and now, even the little ones can help us clean the bathroom! Since we broke over 100 comments, I think it's only fair to give away two free gift boxes! Yep…you'll need to pick TWO lucky winners this time around!
