She is loving Kindergarten and is learning how to read really well. She loves being a big sister and Myles is just her favorite! Happy Birthday Buddy, we love you lots!

quick update
As you can see I only have 40 days left and I am really hoping it isn't going to be even that long. Andy graduates from training two weeks from today and we are so excited to have him home soon. Sadie gets to start a new Kindergarten class at Hobble Creek where she is currently going to preschool. She is really looking forward to that. She is practicing her burping techniques with her baby dolls and learning how to wrap them in blankets. She is sooooooooo excited to become a big sister. We haven't decided on a name yet and probably won't until we see him so for now it is still baby brother or little turd (I know that is mean but it is fair since he has been sooo mean to me for 35 weeks). So that's about it, nothing too exciting going on here. I'll try to post some pictures soon, not promising any will be of me with my HUGE belly but we shall see.

eHarmony
Andy joked the other night that I should get an account with eHarmony and find my backup man. I'm starting to think this is a good idea. Andy has left me single again. This time it is for 3 months instead of 12, but still it sucks. Afghanistan was emotionally hard, this time around while he is in Georgia is more physically hard. This darn belly of mine gets in the way and makes me very very tired really easily. I need to teach Sadie how to cook for herself, dress herself. and reach all the toys in her closet by herself. I complain to Andy that it is so hard to constantly get up and down again and Sadie always has the best timing to need something..right when I sit down. His suggestion is to always stay standing. Isn't he smart ladies and gentlemen? no sympathy from him!
Andy is attending a Federal Law Enforcement class in Georgia, part of his requirement for the new grown up job he got a month ago. We will be visiting him over Labor day weekend and then he will be home just in time to put together a babies room and become a father to baby #2. That is if I can hold him in there and not let him come early. Please don't come early little guy.

Oh Boy!
This is the first post I have done since Andy has been home. How lazy am I? I blame it on the baby though. I spent almost 20 weeks throwing up and feeling miserable. I have finally gone 1.5 weeks without losing my food so hopefully progress is being made. We found out last week that the Rasmussen name will continue on in our family. Baby boy Rasmussen made an appearance at the ultra sound and Sadie is thrilled to be having a brother. It took me some time to get use to the idea, but I'm slowly coming around. We bought a pair of pajamas the other day and Sadie is so excited to be able to help dress him and watch movies that aren't scary with him. She's going to be a wonderful sister!

Ding Dong the Witch is Dead...
Sadie had her very first dance recital yesterday. It was so fun watching her on stage. She is such a ham and didn’t even mind being on stage in front of everybody. She had so much fun. She didn’t want to leave after her dress recital or after last nights performance. But we were able to coax her out last night with root-beer floats at her cousins house. Sadie’s cousin Elsa was in this recital as well. Sadie and Elsa were both blue Munchkins, since this recital was The Wizard of Oz. Sadie got to be in two dances for the show; the second dance they were taught and ran through one time before the dress rehearsal and then got a couple more practices at the dress rehearsal. Sadie is a quick learner.
Sadie also completed her first year of pre-school this past Wednesday. She has had so much fun going to school and learning so much. We think she is going to miss her friend Jaimason when he moves to Texas with his family next month.

Coming this November...
Well as some of you may have seen, we added a counter to the blog. This time the counter isn't about Andy coming home, but of a new arrival that will bless our lives around November 24, 2009. Yep, its true, Jessica is "preggars" as many now say in Utah colloquialism. Jessica has been super sick this go-around and this has not been fun for any of us. She has been throwing up at least twice a day until yesterday and today. But she is tough and will get through it. We can't wait to find out whether we are having a boy or a girl.

Tag on backwards
I was tagged a while ago and have just gotten it done. sorry to those who have waited. I went to my sixth folder and sixth pictures only to realize I had already posted it on my blog not too long ago. So I decided to do it backwards. I went sixth from last and sixth picture from last and here is what we got. This was taken on a merry-go-round in North Carolina. My sisters and mine best friend lives there and we all went to visit. I think Sadie is around 20 months old. Don't you just love the natural wave and curl to her hair? she looks so stylin!! For anyone who wants to do it backwards like me...I tag you!

which came first...the left or the right?
Obviously, the right knee happened first. I was 12 and was popped up on a trampoline and came down very very wrong. A piece of my knee bone chipped off and got lodged in my knee forcing it to stay bent. I had surgery and was put in a cast from my toes to my hip. I can't remember how long I was in that thing, but for sure a long time! I don't remember a lot of the physical therapy and how long it took to get it back to "normal". Then, one year ago today I had an accident that I remember very clearly. One last push and the car would be unstuck from the snow. I was giving it my all and the minute I stepped down my whole knee cap blew to the outside of my leg. (sorry, that is very disgusting to think about, I apologize if it gave you a bad mental picture). An ambulance ride and a visiting to the ER later my knee cap was popped back into place and from there I saw a specialist. This time part of my knee cap broke off and was making it so I couldn't put weight on my leg. So another surgery later and now my knees have symmetry! I remember quite clearly the pain and all the details of the physical therapy. I think the hardest part was that it happened 3 weeks before Andy was deployed, the surgery only happening days before he left. It was so hard to say goodbye to him and not be able to stand up and give him a hug. I was overwhelmed with the unknown and how I was going to take care of a 3 year old when I couldn't even get myself off the couch. I can't begin to express the gratitude I have for my parents. I stayed with them for 3 months while my knee healed. My dad help push me with my therapy and was there with loads of encouragement. My mom taught Sadie some awesome songs while driving in her truck (PINK...Who Knew?) Sadie adores her grandparents and I know their bond grew closer because of their sacrifice and willingness to give. Thanks mooter and daddy-o, I LOVE YOU! And thanks to everyone who helped out during this past year. It hasn't been easy but I am so grateful for all the support, love, kindness and friendship I have received. I can't believe in 24 days (give or take) I will be able to walk and stand and give Andy the biggest hug ever. I'll just have to beat Sadie too it, better start practicing my running!
