Delta, Brilee's Blessing, House is Done!!!

Over the 24th of July we went to Delta to visit. It was Brilee's first visit to Delta and she did great. It was a pretty long drive for her but she slept most of the way. While we were in Delta we went to the Hinckley 24th of July parade. Brilee slept the whole time. Image Image Image Image On August 7th we blessed Brilee. Dustin blessed her and did such a great job. After the blessing we all went to my parents house for dinner. Thanks so much to everyone who came to support us on this special day for our family and thanks to our families for all the hard work they went to for us to make this day great. Image Image ImageImage Image Finally, our house is done!! It has been a long journey but our house is finished. Poor little Brilee has had to be taken everywhere to pick stuff out. Luckily for me she is a great baby and didn't seem to mind to much!! She also had to learn to take naps in different places including on a cardboard box. Image Most people enjoy picking out everything for their house but I can't say I enjoyed It. It was pretty hard making sure everything like the carpet paint, hardwood, cabinets all looked good together. Now that it is all done I love it. We started moving things in this weekend and will continue throughout this week. If only I had one more week before school starts, I could get it all done. But unfortunately for me, school starts on Tuesday. I will take some pictures of the final product on the inside and post them later for now here is one of the outside. Image

1 month old

Brilee is now a month old. It is crazy how fast time goes and how much they change. She now weighs 8 lbs 5 ounces. She is starting to sleep great at night. We only have to get up once. From talking to others, I think I'm pretty lucky. Brilee is a great baby. She is very content and doesn't fuss unless she is tired or hungry. Image Brilee is also such a cuddler. She just loves to snuggle up with you. Image Image Daisy gets a little jealous of Brilee at times, so grandma is nice enought to cuddle with both of them. Image House update: The outside is done except for the cement work. The inside is all painted and as soon as our cabinets are in we will be able to do our flooring. Dustin has been working really hard to get all the lights and outlets done. It is so fun to see it start looking like a house.

Happy 4th of July and House Pictures

I was so excited this year to find a cute 4th of July outfit for Brilee to wear. I went to about every store in Ogden to find one. Each store had a lot of cute ones but very few come in Newborn. I did finally find one that would fit her. We didn't do a whole lot on the 4th. We went to my Grandma's for our traditional Sloppy Joes and shrimp salad and then just relaxed around the house. Image I finally went over to our house to take some pictures. Here are just a few. They only have over the garage left to brick and are doing the doors, closets, and baseboards on the inside. She's Finally Here!!!

On Monday, June 20th Brilee was born at 8:25 a.m. I started having contractions at about 11 p.m Sunday night and finally went to the hospital at about 4 a.m. When we got there and finally got all checked in I was dilated to a 7!! They called the doctor and rushed me into my room to start my epidural. Once the doctor arrived she broke my water and I started to push. Brilee weighed 6 lbs 7 oz and was 18 1/2 inches long. We are all excited to have her here with us (especially grandma and grandpa)! Here she is just about an hour old. Image These are a couple of her newborn pictures we had done at the hospital. Image Image This picture she is 13 days old. It's crazy how much they change over a short period of time. Image Our house is also coming along great. We should be able to move in sometime towards the end of the month. They are just getting ready to paint and finishing up our brick.

I HATE RAIN!!

We are finally on our way to building our house. We had been waiting for the weather to clear up for a long time and finally on Wednesday we were able to dig our hole. But... then the next four days it has either snowed or rained. So once again we are at a stand still waiting for things to dry up. I don't know if its just me because we are wanting things to go quick on our house, but I have never seen so much rain. But according to the news things are looking up with good weather for the next little while. I will keep you posted on the house. Image As for the baby, every thing is going great. I only have 13 more weeks to go!! We have started to buy a few things for her but mainly just a few cute outfits. I have to be careful and limit myself because one could spend hundreds of dollars on cute baby girl clothes. We have started a monthly tradition of craft night with the friends. The person in charge hosts the night with making dinner and coming up with the craft. The husbands even attend but stay in the other room and watch the Jazz games or a movie. This month we were at Kelsey's house and made some cute blocks for spring. Image

Once every six months for a post isn't too bad right?

Well considering that we have some great news I decided I should update my blog. We are going to have a LITTLE BABY GIRL IN JUNE. Image We are very excited to add one more member to our little family.

Weekend Fun!

This past weekend me and Dust went 4-wheeling up in Mantua with my parents. We had such a fun time. Last year we didn't even use the 4-wheelers so it was nice to get out and use them. We were going to go on one trail but we got stopped by some snow still on the mountain. It was really weird still seeing snow in June, especially the end of June. Image Image Image Image Image We also went to Maddox with our family for my Grandma Schumers' birthday. Maddox has got to be one of the best places to eat. There is just nothing like Maddox rolls. If you haven't gone I suggest you save up some money, cause it is a little expensive, and go. Sorry no pictures I forgot my camera.

Gotta Love Summer!!!

It has only been a month since my last post. WOW! I think I'm on a roll. I am officially done with my first year of teaching. It was a great year. I will no longer be at North Park Elementary next year; I got a job at Plain City Elementary. I loved the people I worked with at North Park and I'm really going to miss them, but love that I am only going to be two minutes from my house next year. I will still be teaching 6th grade so a lot of things will stay the same. During the summer I am working at the Weber County Fair. Can I just say this job is a blast. I love it. We have so much fun. Our first big chore was to clean out the closet from last year, so Toni and I put on some old Usher shirts and went to work. As you can see we have a lot to do since we could barely get in the door. Image Image This last weekend we went down to St. George to visit our family there. Thanks to Ji and Haley for letting us stay with them. It was great to get away. Ji and Haley bought a house so Dust spent a lot of the time helping fix some of the electrical problems they found. On Friday night we went up to Pine Valley and roasted hot dogs. It was a lot of fun. Image Image Image We also played with our cute nieces and nephew. Image Image Image It seems that they are all growing up so fast especially when we only see them every few months. On Sunday Cooper, Stacey's little boy was blessed. It was a neat day for them. He looked so cute in his little suit. Image Image

I am finally going to do a quick update. I would be lying if I said I just haven't had time to update but really I have. My problem is I get on blogs and like to look at everyone else's instead of updating my own. We have done some fun things over the past few months. Here are some highlights... -Dust's sister had her cute baby boy. We were able to go spend the weekend with him. Image -Spring Break was GREAT!!! My mom and I decided to take a trip down to St. George and soak up the sun. There wasn't as much sun as we had hoped but it was still fun. We spent each morning running/walking on the neat trails. We spent the afternoons either by the pool or out shopping. I am pretty mad at myself because I didn't take a single picture until we were filling up for gas to go back home. Image Image -Dust is officially done with school. The only thing he has left to do is take his state test. He has done such a great job with school over the past 4 years. Way to go Dust!!! -Last weekend we took a quick trip down to Delta. While we were there Dust helped his dad irrigate, I was able to quilt the cutest baby blanket ever, and we all enjoyed great food made by Leandra. Image -I just had to post this last picture. My grandma was getting rid of her old riding lawn mower so Dust took it and is going to give it to Ji. We had to tow it down the rode with the four-wheeler. Don't we look like the biggest hillbillies!! Image

Hunter Safety

This weekend my sister-in-law and I passed our hunter safety course. For the past few weeks we have been taking the online course and Friday night we had our written test. We both scored 49 out of 50 (and no we didn't cheat). Today we had our shooting test. We both passed with flying colors. Who knows if we will ever shoot anything but we are definitely more educated about hunting:) We drove up to Morgan and went to Taggert's Inn to celebrate. The food was delicious. Thanks to all our family for their support. Image Image
