February 24, 2016

I can't even remember the last time that I wrote a blog. But tonight I felt moved to post something, somewhere. I started this blog because I was overwhelmed with happiness. I have filled this blog with memories events and all the lovely things that have filled our days.

And tonight I'm just reflecting on all of these sweet memories from the past seven years with my sweet angel Max. He's growing up so fast. As I write these words tears roll down my cheeks. I'm overwhelmed with the sweet little boy that he is and I'm hopeful for the years to come.

He's excited for his seventh birthday and I am too. He's asked for cinnamon rolls for breakfast. So I'll be making my famous Pillsbury rolls from the can, ha ha!!

Super Bowl champs!!

They did it, the won the CFSA Flag Football Super Bowl!!!!! The season started in August and it was quite a ride for all of us. Max matured so much and learned how the game of football is played. He learned to work hard and play together as a team. He played Center this year and was quite a leader in the team. His coaches even voted him to be an All-Star!!

He played with 11 other great kids on team Raiders. They had an awesome head coach. He was dedicated to these boys 100%!! Shawn was an assistant coach and he brought so much to the defense. Max loved having him on the fields. The boys went undefeated all season. Unbelievable!!

What we've been up to!

Hello, anybody there?!?

So....life, work, sports have gotten the best of me. Well this year has been full of excitement. Here's a little update.

January is a blur. Shawn was working a ton on this project. We missed him, but stayed busy!!

February we celebrated Max's birthday with his friends and the bowling alley. Then we flew out to DISNEY WORLD! That deserves it's own blog. We all loved it. Maddie met all the princesses.

In March Max started t-ball. I volunteered to be team mom. That's another reason I've been busy.

April we had Easter in a College Station. We went to church at St. Mary's CC. Maddie asked "are we in Heaven?" So sweet. We also spent time with my moms side of the family in Houston. Kids had fun exploring the city! Maddie also had CyPalooza at gymnastics. She got her first trophy and was so proud and cute. :)

Soccer and other sport activities

So I finally took rhe plunge and signed Max up for soccer. He picked the sport.  We signed him up for Fall soccer, but practices started in August and it was so hot. We started with practice twice per week. Then when games started we only practiced once per week. Max has loved it so far. He enjoys kicking the ball, but he isn't very competitive when it comes to taking the ball. He's a great team player and always cheers if a friend makes a goal. The boys are so cute. They love practice the must because they get to play together. During games only 3 team members play at a time. They don't keep score, but it's still cute.

They also did swim lessons in July/August. Max learned to swim on his own and he learned better technique. Maddie learned to sink-to-float snd to doggie paddle. She just needs to work on her breathing. Hoping she remembers next summer!!

We tried ballet with Maddie, but she told me she wanted to do gymnastics. So far they have both loved it and are trying out their new techniques anywhere they can. Have I mentioned Max has a black tooth? That's for another blog I guess.
