August Fun

Here are some pictures from August that I never posted...and am now posting mostly for Jonathan.  We want him to be homesick at all times...just kidding.  The first pictures are from when the kids helped Jonathan to clear out some brush and blackberry bushes from along the creek.  Oh, and the gun.  Jonathan was killing squirrels again.  Squirrels are the super pests around here who will get up under your car and chew cables, among other things.  The rest of the pictures are the kids in their element.  

Boulder Lakes

I know it has been a while since I posted on our blog.  Life has been busy (as usual) with in-laws returning home from their mission, family visiting, summer trips, residency applications going in, and 4 kids (4 kids ages 8 and under will keep anyone busy).   Jonathan is currently on the East coast and I felt that I should post some pictures that he hasn't seen yet...and make him even more homesick than he already is.  We miss him over here on the West coast!

This post contains pictures from our backpacking trip to little boulder lake in the Trinity Alps.  This was my first backpacking trip with the kids and we had a blast.  It is not everyday that you get to have a mountain lake all to yourself.
