Baby Sister is 11 months old????

11 months old and growing up by the second!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!
Image

She wasn't crazy about being forced to sit with Little Bear for a picture.
Image

But we did get one smile out of her. Sweet siblings!
Image

Favorite foods this month: CHEESE!!! Yogurt, fruit purees, Mum Mum baby crackers, black beans, black olives, and bread with cream cheese spread.
Image

Favorite activities this month: Scooting around the house on her rear, pulling up to standing, cruising around furniture, pushing standing toys or chairs around the house, laughing at Little Bear.
Image

Other favorite activities: Climbing into and messing with Shaddie's crate (this one was new just this week),...
Image

...and getting into the drawers that I, Mama Bear don't especially want her playing in! And then pulling the baggies out of the boxes. Oh what fun it is to make messes for Mama!
Image

Favorite animal: cats or dogs--it's a toss up. She had a particularly fun time playing with this kitty cat.
Image

Favorite baby sign language: "ALL DONE!" She seems to enjoy this sign the most and really let's us know when she is in fact "all done." There is no denying what this little thing wants, or doesn't want for that matter!

Oh how I can't believe this sweetie pie is growing up soooooo fast! Slow down clock! I'm not ready for my baby girl to be ONE!!!

Not in Kansas anymore...

PREPARE YOURSELF FOR OUR LONGEST POST YET...

I, Mama Bear, made the decision early on that if Daddy Bear had to go away for school, then the rest of us would go back to the Midwest/South for a visit halfway through to break up the monotony and give us something to look forward to. Well, we're now over halfway!!!! And we are back home from our trip! We had a blast with our family in Kansas! How we love our "GUS and GAN!"
Image

We got to enjoy beautiful warm weather,
Image

and even fed baby goats at a local farm.
Image

Then after a weekend of fun we loaded up and headed south to see our friends and "family" in Oklahoma.
The first stop was in a city of COWBOYS, bleh! But we were so excited to see friends that I was able to suck it up and look past the sea of orange. :)

Baby Sister got to meet her Godparents...
Image

Madeline wasn't so sure she wanted BS snuggling with her mama.
Image

Meanwhile Little Bear had a lot of fun playing with their older two.
Image

We could've stayed with these friends for days but we had a tight schedule to keep. So next we headed to OKC to visit an overwhelming number of more fantastic friends!

We had breakfast with some very sweet Air Force friends that first morning in OKC.
Image

Then spent the afternoon with my best friends from college.
Image

That evening Baby Sister and I had dinner with some of my closest girlfriends from high school...
Image

...while Little Bear played with his closest friend from babyhood/childhood and her little brother. LB and "Aubbie" are 4 days apart in age and have always had the GREATEST time together. We hadn't seen their family for a year but the kids didn't miss a beat! They had a fabulous time playing together (and I would be lying if I said we hadn't already started planning LB and Aubbie's wedding ;D)!
Image

The next day was spent with some of the wonderful ladies from my OK Catholic Women's Group. At my request we enjoyed some grass-fed beef at my favorite burger place in OKC.
Image

Then went back to one of their houses for the BEST cupcakes ever from my favorite cupcake place ever!! Mmmmmmmmm! Bliss! (You can see Baby Sis wanted a little taste of that heaven too.)
Image

And we ended the day potlucking with an incredible group of friends we used to go to church with, several of whom were in our music ministry group.
Image

The next day LB got to sit in my old chair at my old desk in my old classroom where I used to teach 4th graders. Awwwww, memories!
Image

We visited with some of my old coworkers,
Image

and had breakfast with a dear friend and retired teacher, AND the sweetest (and most talented) principal EVER!!!!
Image

The kids posed for me in front of the church where their parents were married,
Image

and then we dropped in to visit three of my sweet, sweet former students. Man I love these kids!
Image

Next stop was our old neighborhood. LB and I took a picture in front of our first home as a Braun family (also the house we brought LB home to from the hospital).
Image

We chatted with one of the kindest neighbors we could've asked for.
Image

And headed to our destination for the rest of the afternoon and evening. Poor LB was wiped yet again!
Image

Baby Sister got to play all evening long, with her sweet friend, Aubrey, only one week apart in age.
Image

They had a great time together!
Image

And LB had a lot of fun too!
Image

And perhaps best of all, I got to catch up with another very dear old friend.
Image

Sadly this was our last stop in Oklahoma and we headed back early Good Friday morning for more family time in Kansas. LB got some great grandma snuggles from his GJ (who we all ADORE).
Image

And we even got to play with some of our sweet cousins from Iowa who drove down just to see us for Easter weekend!
Image

Easter Sunday brought Mass, pretty clothes,...
Image

...Easter egg hunts, ...
Image
Image

...and Easter presents.
Image

With tears brimming we packed up our suitcases and headed to the airport for the long flight home. Luckily the Easter Bunny had found us at home too so we had one more Easter egg hunt before heading to bed for some MUCH NEEDED REST.
Image

Now at home, we are getting back in the groove of things and daily celebrating our Lord's resurrection during this wonderful season! Happy Easter everyone!!!!!

10 months!!

WOWZERS, as Little Bear would say!!! I cannot believe our Baby Sister is already 10 months!! Seriously, where DID the time go? I honestly can't understand how it happened so fast! In the months past it was easy to get a monthly picture of BS. I just placed her on the couch and she looked at the camera with her sweet grin. This month was a different story! Look at her go!

This past month has been a doozy! Just over a month ago we were visiting Daddy Bear, and while it was nice to break up the monotony of being without him, getting to be with him for a weekend made it hard for Little Bear and me to get back into our Daddy-less routine after we got home. Baby Sister didn't let it slow HER down though! She, of course, had a great time with Daddy Bear but she had other important things to focus on. She was on the verge of crawling when we visited Daddy Bear and upon our return she sprouted her wings (or legs rather)! She's now scooting (as opposed to crawling), pulling up, and is at the beginning stages of cruising around furniture.

Here she is hanging out in the kitchen and playing with fridge magnets while I cook/clean.
Image

This was her first time to see flowers up close. You can bet it only took her half a second and she had petals in hand!
Image

Here she is with her baby friends on the street. These "little" girls are quickly catching up to BS. She's still growing but apparently they're growing faster! (These two are 6 and 5 months!!)
Image

Here she is again with one of her good buddies. They even coincidentally have matching jackets. But look at BS smacking her friend in the face! If she's close enough to other babies to reach them her hands are almost always on them. She is just being curious but not always gentle as you can see!
Image

To sum up Baby Sister's 10th month,
she STILL adores her big brother.
Image

(And he adores her!)
Image

She STILL smiles like there's no tomorrow!
Image

She STILL loves life and laughter!
Image

And she STILL lights up our days, even when the skies are gray (which is quite often out here)!
Image
We're so in love with our sweet baby girl!!!!
