4th of JULY - Jackson Hole and a whole lot of Randomness!

Every year we go to the Layton Parade on the 4th of July. My Dad always saves us the same spot each year. This year we did a potluck and had lunch after the parade. I have not been crafting hardly at all lately and decided to make Rileigh and Nellie these cute shirts!

Later is the afternoon we went to Rich's Parents house for some AweSoMe Bar BQ! Rick has this down and puts a lot of time into the art of smoking meat. It is sooooo good!
Barb made these watermelon popsicles, they were so good on a hot day!

They have a fun hammock in their backyard that is fully shaded on a hot summer afternoon!

Me, the Momma, took the two oldest kiddos on a kid friendly mountain bike ride! Rich and Nellie shuttled and picked us up at the bottom of Wheeler Canyon. They surprised us with some Subway for lunch!

The ride has some uphill but for the most part it is uphill.

Weber State puts on a pretty great Fire Works show with their Orchestra by the pond. Barb and Rick got us some pretty great seats. The kids played UNO with Grandma to pass the time 'til dark!

Grandma bought them Glow sticks, of course one ended up in the Pond!

Nicole and I took the kids on a hike up to Green Pond!

Rich and I got to get away for a few days to celebrate Bryan's 40th Birthday!
We camped just outside of Jackson Hole and ran the Snake River. One of my all time favorite trips. He does such a good job putting it all together. The food is an extra bonus.

This was the whole group minus Bryan's GF Eryn.

Rich and I sat on this bank and sprayed cute church groups as they went down the river in their rafts. We just sat and giggled as they went by. I love this picture!

The Days of 47 Parade in Salt Lake City that is held on the 24th of July. We met up with my Mom, sister and her kids. Grandma treated us to Dunkin' Doughnuts!

Image
I think the parade was a success I managed to wipe out all three kids by noon given the fact that we left at 7:30 a.m.

I believe Rich was working this Saturday and I was heading up to Park City to promote the Trailfest race. So while in town we made good use of our time. Logan, Rileigh, Nellie and I started at the bike park. It's uphill to get to the fun stuff. The kids did so good and were so excited. It started to sprinkle while we were there and we just kept playing. I then took them to Whole Foods to eat lunch at the deli counter. Of course Logan and Rileigh picked Sushi and Nellie got Pizza.

Nellie on her Mongoose Butterfly. Folks are always so impressed with the Mongoose Butterfly Bike.

Logan crashed here and all he wanted was for me to take his picture. He thinks he's so cool!

After lunch we ventured up to the Utah Winter Olympic Park. We have never been before and were not sure what we would get to see. Oh Boy did we get lucky. It was Free Olympic Kid Day!
The Museum is always free to tour. I could have stayed in there all day, it is so cool.
Image
They had face painting and bounce houses and food. I think the coolest part was sitting and watching some amateur kids do the ski jumps into the pools of water. Can't wait to go back again someday.

Just a lazy paddle board day in our local Silver Lake. Rileigh, Demi and Nellie. Nellie is always in the water, even when we say just stay dry on the paddle board. She jumps right in every time.

Logan caught a fish with his bare hands. He was giggling so hard. Nellie helped beat the poor thing to death with an oar and Rich helped them cook it up for a pre-dinner snack, gross!

My Mom was in charge of the Mansfield Family Reunion. It was held at Cherry Hill. Some of us chose to camp and stay the 3 nights. My parents got themselves a new camp trailer just in time. Rich brought the movie projector and we watched Kangaroo Jack right in our camp spot. Bryan let me take his turd aka pop up trailer.
This is Kayci and Nellie waiting to go swim.

My cousins come in their big huge trailers and 5th wheels, cheater campers! We mozy from trailer to trailer to chat and catch-up. Logan and Driggs with second cousin Brayden in the backgroundImage
