Maple Ridge RCMP is investigating after a fatal motor vehicle incident involving a motorcyclist occurred over the weekend in Maple Ridge.

On June 13, 2026, at approximately 8:45pm, Maple Ridge RCMP responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck at the intersection of Lougheed Highway and 287 Street.

Officers on scene learned that a black Harley Davidson motorcycle was travelling westbound on Lougheed Highway when it collided with a grey Ford pickup truck. The collision resulted in the motorcyclist suffering fatal injuries. Attending Emergency Health Services confirmed the death of the 33-year-old male motorcyclist on scene. The driver of the pickup was uninjured and stayed on scene. A passenger in the pickup truck was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The westbound lanes of Lougheed Highway were closed for a time but eventually re-opened.

Maple Ridge RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit is leading the investigation, with assistance from multiple units, including the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS).
