Conference Description
Agriculture and Land-use in Ireland – Pathways to a Sustainable Future was a national technical conference that brought together researchers, students, policymakers and industry representatives to explore the future of farming and the environment.
Covering themes ranging from climate adaptation and greenhouse gas mitigation to biodiversity, soil health, water quality, the bioeconomy and behavioural change, the conference provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange, networking and collaboration to support sustainable agricultural and land-use solutions.
The conference was organised through a partnership between Teagasc, University College Dublin, University of Galway, University College Cork, Trinity College Dublin, Queen’s University Belfast and the Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute (AFBI). The event brought together leading expertise in agriculture, land use and environmental research from across Ireland, fostering discussion and collaboration on the challenges and opportunities facing the sector.
