October update

Wow...it's crazy how time flies!! October has come and gone so fast for me.  We had two weekends of cousin sleepovers at our house, which Kynli loved! Over Nevada Day weekend we went to the Grand Canyon for the first time ever.  It was on my bucket list of things to do while in Las Vegas.  It was only a 2.5hour drive from here and sooo worth it.  However, we were the ONLY people with a kid there.....apparently it's not a kid friendly place.  It was actually a little crazy that you could walk right up to the end of the canyon with no barrier whatsoever.  Some people were getting WAY too close to the edge for my comfort level.  Luckily Kynli is very well behaved and stayed right with us and in our arms when we were at all close to the canyon.
Halloween was also really fun this year.  Kynli is a lot more into this year now that she really gets it.  She had so much fun trick-or-treating and going to the pumpkin patches.

August break

Jordan was lucky to get 3 weeks off of school in August.  Unfortunately, he was studying for another big test for part of that time, but we were still able to do some fun things over the break.

First we headed to Cali to my favorite beach (Newport) Kynli was a little unsure of the big waves crashing in at first, but warmed up a lot quicker than last time.

This is right before she almost drowned...ha ha! Not really!!! But the wave was a little bigger and stronger than we all thought and it knocked her over.

She LOVES Ferris Wheels. We drove to Santa Monica the day after Newport and played on the carnival rides on the pier.

We also took A LOT of walks in the evening around our neighborhood and to this park in our community.

I went to a fun swim play date with the girls in the ward.  I think the mom's had more fun jumping off this than the kids!

We made a trip down to the strip to visit the M&M Factory. Kynli picked out her own M&M's and loved seeing all the "M&M guys"

Jordan and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary at Maggiano's. 

We tried out a new park in Summerlin and loved it!! Here's Kynli climbing the rock wall there like a champ

We went camping up in Duck Creek in Cedar City Canyon. Kynli had sooooo much fun playing with her cousins.  She is so happy in this picture and I love it!

The aftermath of all the fun!! LOL! She had already slept 2 hours and woke up, came out of her room, laid down again, rolled down the hallway to this spot, and fell sound asleep for another half an hour!! I couldn't believe it!

2 weeks in Utah = LOVE!!

I love going to Utah!! I love being close to family, the weather, the mountains, the activities, friends, etc. I was lucky to be able to go for 2 weeks this summer with my sister and her kids and we filled up every day we had there with lots of fun activities....

My sister and I were lucky to have the chance to clean the new Brigham City Temple while we were there.  My dad has been really involved in the work to get this temple ready for the open house.  I'm so glad we had the chance to go and be in the temple and have a small part in the work.

I should have been a cowgirl!!....really! I love it so much.  I'll take every chance I get to go ride the horses down at the Diamond Ranch.

Hogle Zoo.  The polar bear there was our favorite.  He was so fun to watch.  He kept diving down in the water and then coming up by this window.  We spent a good 20 min watching him.
