9 Months!

I can hardly believe that Emily turned 9 months old this week! We're now to the point where she has been outside of me for longer than she was in.  She is continually growing and learning so much.  She can army crawl herself pretty much anywhere she wants to go.  She loves to explore the world around her and it is so fun watching her investigate different things.  I had her 9 month appointment on the 1st as well and she is measuring in at 29.5 inches long and 17 lbs.  She's been wearing 12 month sized clothes since she was around 7 months old.  She is definitely our longest and leanest child.  Emily is such a sweetheart and we are so glad to have this (mostly) patient little baby.

Emily definitely poses better when I use the Nikon than when I take pictures with my phone.  She does a great job when I have the Nikon out of holding still and just laughing and smiling.  When I tried to take pictures with my phone, I was constantly trying to stop her from attempting to crawl off the couch.

Ian wanted to use the Nikon to take some pictures and since Tom was home he helped him take a few of me.

Emily was very much done with the photo shoot and ready for her nap (I was taking pictures very soon after we'd come home from her doctor checkup)

This was later in the day (it might have been right after Emily woke up from her nap).  I handed her to Tom and since everyone was being so cute I grabbed the camera again and started to take more pictures.

We asked Ann to stop with the bunny ears so we could get a picture without that

I love seeing Tom being the wonderful dad that he is

Ann wanted a turn to hold and have some pictures with Emily

All three of my cuties

Oh the goofy faces of Ian

Ian wanted a turn as well to hold Emily and get some pictures

And more faces :)

Ann then wanted a turn to take pictures with the Nikon.  These are the ones that she took with Tom's help

Real life right here :)

Around the house

These are just more pictures of every day kinds of things that I had the thought to document with our camera.  Even though it's a lot of pictures, I decided to just put them all in one post.

Emily is my little buddy during the day while Ann and Ian are at school.  This was one more near the end of September feeding Emily some breakfast after getting the big kids off to school.

This was also near the end of September, on a night that Tom was working. These three were just being silly playing around together in the living room.  Unfortunately our Nikon has a hard time taking pictures in low light, so many of the pictures I took ended up blurry.

Big girl!

Ann and Ian have recently discovered the "fun" that is giving someone bunny ears in a picture

Image
I think Ian was giving himself moose ears (or antlers?) while Ann did bunny ears

Image
And of course they needed to switch

Ann and Ian have sometimes played a game where they have taken that blanket, one sits on it, and the other drags them down the hallway all the way down to the living room.  I'm honestly impressed that Ian has been able to pull Ann considering their difference in size.

Image
It is fall and it has been cooling down here (it's just that we started so much hotter than other places that it may not appear that it's cooled down because it is still hot out).  But we've had some nice mornings especially.  Ann and Ian had letters they wanted to take down to the mailbox.  So we went and did that after I'd put Emily down for a nap.  They then wanted to ride around outside for a while.  It's nice to be able to start doing those kinds of things again.

Blessing Dress

Ever since we blessed Emily back in March, I have been wanting to put her back in her dress and take some more pictures of her.  It just never was on the fore-front of my mind however and it never happened until just a few days ago.  I noticed her dress and decided to put her in it and take a few pictures before nap time.  Thankfully, the dress still fits her (it was big on her at her blessing).  It was fun to take a few pictures of her wearing her dress (using the afghan my mom crocheted as a backdrop), even if it was no where near the time we actually blessed her.
