Merry Christmas Everyone! Before Christmas, the kids and I had fun decorating cookies. Tommy commented that brown frosting was not a "Christmas color" but Lily had insisted on having brown reindeer.
Isaac just enjoyed eating the candies.
Here are my three crazy kids screaming "Merry Christmaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas!" or just screaming in general... (Thanks Kristen for the adorable jammies!)

Lily was quite ecstatic to find Zhu Zhu pets among her gifts from Santa! "Just what I wanted!"

First Stitches
Poor Isaac fell off of a chair in the kitchen tonight and had to get 4 stitches in his chin. He was pretty brave, but it wasn't very fun. It is a little surprising that in our almost six years of having kids, this hasn't happened yet, considering how "busy" Lily and Isaac can both be.

Caleb's surgery
On Thursday, Caleb had surgery on his hernia. He ate at 9, got checked in at the hospital at 11, then had surgery at 3. By 5, he was in recovery and he was hungry, in pain and a little groggy from the anesthesia. It was a little sad state to see him in. He got some pains meds, ate a little, then slept. We went home and got to relax after our long, emotionally exhausting day. He was sure a trooper!

He's a Big Boy!

He's starting to smile for us!

Caleb had his 2 month Dr. appointment today. He is in the 90th percentile for weight and 96th for length! I went back to look at Isaac's growth info and he was still in the 50th for weight and 55th for length at 2 months. Hopefully Caleb can be the big boy in the family, and the good eater.
The Dr. does feel he needs surgery on his hernia, and hopefully we can get that done this month, for insurance purposes and Caleb's comfort. We have a consult with the surgeon next Thursday.
Here is a video of some of Caleb's smiles and happy coos. Uncle Randy was the best and getting him to smile.
Snow, and lots of it!
Record snowfall today!

Happy Thanksgiving!
We had a nice thanksgiving with the Wolfe family. The prep was a little stressful since I have never done a turkey, or cranberry sauce, or yams, or green bean casserole, but with some great help from Katie and Randy and Tommy, we made a delicious thanksgiving dinner.
I also made these cute turkey shirts for my kids and their cousins.
Yes, Caleb had been crying... maybe because he couldn't find his other sock?
We had a nice weekend of football and family. Isaac loved his "bompa time" on the couch watching football. :D

Lily says:
"I love the new turkey shirt my mom made me. And I loved the pumpkin pie. Katie and Randy did a wonderful job on the pumpkin pie. I had fun playing tigers with my cousin Tyler. I loved when Grandma Shauna played with me. She was always there for me. And Grandma Lanie gave me a Christmas pillow case with kitties on it. How did she know those are my favorite? And my mom is so smart. She is just the best mom in the world."
Yep, she really said all that. :D

Lily's First Voice Recital
Last night Lily had her first singing recital at a retirement home. About an hour before we were supposed to be there she started feeling really sick. She had a sore throat and a little head ache. She was pretty sad and didn't want to miss her recital so we gave her some medicine, said a prayer together, and hoped for the best. Well, by the time we stopped at the store to get some throat drops for her she was feeling better and her spirits were high. We were so grateful our prayer was answered so quickly and that Lily was able to go and sing.
She sang two songs, "The Tree" and "Castle on a Cloud". We were soo proud of her. After her recital she walked around the room and introduced herself to all the sweet elderly people. They sure loved that. She made so many people smile and she really felt good inside.
Enjoy these videos!

A most interesting spelling
Lily has been writing notes and spelling words all on her own like crazy lately. Today she wrote this word:
kweschjon
Very good job sounding out each sound in that word! Now, what's your question?

A Fun Thanksgiving Project
This week I got together with a couple friends and we each made this "give thanks" banner. I love how it turned out. I also made this cute Thanksgiving turkey shirt for Lily. It just needs a face and feet added with embroidery thread. Here's a link to the tutorial.
Here are my cute kids last Sunday. Isaac got so many complements on what a cute little man he is with his suit jacket and tie like his daddy. He was pretty happy about wearing them.

The Perfect Fall Day
We had wonderful fall weather this past week and on Saturday we got outside for a little bit to enjoy the last of it before the cold hit. The kids had a fun time raking and playing in the leaves and I enjoyed just watching them and taking a few pictures.
Caleb has started being more observant to his surroundings. Yesterday he was watching his swing mobile so intently. Don't let the swing picture fool you though; he still prefers to eat, sleep, and be held. :)
