Pyramid of Success

Truman received a Pyramid of Success award for "Action." His teacher, Mr. Belcher, said, "Action is what makes Truman so successful. Truman works very hard to learn new things and isn't afraid to ask for help when he needs it, and he sets a good example for the rest of the class to follow. It is this action that brings Truman the success he enjoys. Keep up the great work!"
Mr. Belcher said that he also considered giving Truman an award for poise because in any situation, whether it's good or bad, he maintains an evenness of temperament.
We're so proud of Truman and the dedicated student he is!

Parker received an award for "Alertness." His teacher, Mrs. Sosa, said, "You are a wonderful student! Each day, you work hard, participate, and always have such a great attitude. I can definitely see how much you know and that you want to learn more. You have grown and continute to work towards your goals each day. That is why you have earned a Pyramid of Success for Alertness. Congratulations!"
Yay, Parker! We think you are awesome, too!

Catalina- Todd's 40th Birthday

For Todd's 40th birthday, we spent the day in Catalina. We had the best time and really packed it full of fun and relaxation.

We did a zip-line tour that included five different lines and went from the top of the island to the beach.

Afterwards we decided to get massages (heaven) and followed that with a delicious dinner at a nice restaurant. I wished it could have been longer, but it was so great to spend the day together doing something new.

Palm Springs Tram and Dodger Game

Our summer trip in 2012 was cut short one hour in. Emma got very sick. By the time we returned home, she was worse and within a few hours she was in the emergency room. She suffered from severe dehydration and a scary allergic reaction. We were so relieved when she finally started to improve.
To make up for our lost trip to Utah, we did a few things around home.
