Fourth of July 2015

July 2015-Isaiah 5 years old, Jonathan 3.5 years old, Audriana 2 days OVERDUE

Even though Audriana's due date was July 1st, I never had the inclination she would be here by now. I had always pictured in my mind being ginormously 40 plus weeks pregnant and overly uncomfortable on one of my favorite holidays.  I'm not complaining.  Because I am over due I was required to go get an ultrasound and Audriana's heart monitored yesterday which made my Fourth extra special and gave me some EXTRA quiet time.  Little girl seemed very relaxed and content crammed inside my tummy.  During the ultrasound she was turning her head from side to side, opening and closing her eyes, opening and closing her hand, bringing her hand to her mouth to suck without a care in the WOMB:)  I'm not sure she will EVER want to come out?!?!?
In the meantime we had a very low key Fourth here at our house.  Jaime BBQ'd for the family, we swam and popped off Fireworks.  It was obviously a success because as Isaiah went to bed last night he declared the Fourth of July as one of his new favorite Holiday's (along with Christmas).  Jonathan was still sticking with Halloween and Christmas.

Waiting....

June 30, 2015- Isaiah five years old, Jonathan 3.5 years old, Audriana DUE TOMORROW!!!

The Central Valley heat is upon us.  It was a high a 108 today.  As we patiently wait for Audriana's arrival I can't tell you how wonderful it feels to get in the pool and feel "weightless." The boys are having a blast; gaining all new kinds of confidence in the water. Thank the HEAVENS for swimming pools!!!

Quincy and Nugget 2015

2015

Quincy and Nugget are such a huge part of our little family's life.  I never want my boys to forget their first fur brothers.  It kills me to even think of the day when they will no longer be with us, but I need to ALWAYS REMEMBER how much we cherished and loved them day in and day out in our home.  From being right by our sides while watching our favorite shows, to going on ALL our countless walks with us, to joining us in the pool during our daily swims, to begging at our feet during every table meal Nugget and Quincy are without question one of the Torres's.

HOOPS

May 2015- Isaiah 5 years old, Jonathan 3.5 years old

Jonathan is OBSESSED with this OUTFIT.  I bought this $10 gem at Walmart last year before our trip to Orlando.  The fabric is so light weight I knew it would be perfect in the hot and humid weather.  I had no idea the attachment Jonathan would make with it.  If he could LIVE in these shorts and top he would. At a certain point I let him wear it for three days straight...he begged, I surrendered.  Daytime wear and and as his pajamas, this is what he WANTS to wear.   He has worn it so much that he has now taken on the nickname "HOOPS" around our house.  When it sits in the dirty hamper for over a week and he sees it freshly come out of the wash he gets so excited and puts it right on.  I have even gone so far to buy a few more outfits similar to this one (same fabric, different colors) but it has not changed his relationship with this one AT ALL.

"Ask and Ye Shall Receive"

June 22, 2015-Isaiah five and Jonathan 3.5 years old, Audriana 39 weeks in utero

Since I blogged about mine and Jaime's sixth wedding anniversary last year (here) and our conversation that night was about having another child I find it only appropriate to make mention this year on our seventh wedding anniversary we are now only one to two weeks away from that reality coming into fruition.  Some pretty cool stuff happening in "LIFE AS A TORRES."

Bible Camp 2015

June 2015- Isaiah five years old, Jonathan 3.5 years old, Audriana 39 weeks in utero

LOVE, LOVE, LOOOOVVVED the bible camp the local Baptist church put on this year for the local kids. Isaiah soaked up every last word and song from it!  Jonathan enjoyed it too, but I think he was more happy about the cotton candy and blow up slide at closing ceremonies than anything else.
I bought the music CD with all the camp songs on it and it has been so much fun watching Isaiah and Jonathan sing their hearts out. There are SO many great, uplifting, praiseworthy songs on the CD but Isaiah and Jonathan's FAVORITE is the one that has the electric guitar and rock drum rifts in it.  It is definitely the MOST hard rock song on the whole Cd and the boys eat it up. The both scream/sing "You're POWERFUL, you're unshakeable."  "You shake me, you break me, you make me whole again...you're nature, UNCHANGING, all fails but you REMAIN.   You're POWERFUL!!"   Isaiah performs all the dance camp moves too.  I'm so happy to see them learning about GOD and having a good time doing it.  THIS IS WHAT MAKES MY HEART SING!!!!

Closing ceremonies were Friday at Noon...at was 104 degrees out. (mind you I'm 39 weeks PG at this time).

That didn't stop J from standing in line for 10 minute to get on the burning hot slide.

He even had to carry a towel up with him to slide down on bc the slide was so HOT.
