So I had to do a self response on the book Walk Two moons for my YA Literature class. Mostly this means that I could do whatever I wanted. As I'm sure you know, that is a very broad topic :D. I ended up doing this photo collage that took a very long time because I had to erase so much out of each picture. For example, sidewalks, grass, people in the background, houses, flowers, sunlight, and sky. This was particularly hard on the tree because I had to erase inbetween the leaves. It took forever, and I'm not entirely sure that I got everything, but after nearly five hours toiling over this project I called it done. You may see some sunlight on Wallace's tree, however for me it was hard to know if they were just some dying leaves. Anyways, I hope you like my project.

Latest good books to read
I love reading. I'm sure that's not a surprise to any of you. Amanda suggested that in between my more interesting happenings of life, I can update you all on books that are simply great. The last book that I have read is called "LIFE AS WE KNEW IT" by Susan Beth Pfeffer. This book is set up like a journal of a girl living in Pennslyvania. An astoroid hits the moon, tilting it three degrees off its axis towards Earth. This causes several major changes to our planet and the people living here.
This book got me so involved I would actually be suprised that what was happening in this novel, wasn't actually happening in reality. Slight warning for all of you. It really makes you want to update your food storage, and stock up on the necessities of life.
The author also wrote another book about the same thing, only from another person's point of veiw. I have yet to read this one, but will let you know what I think of it.

St. George
As I am sure you all know, we went to St. George this last week on vacation. It was great having William and Geniel's family with us. Sadly most of the time I did not feel well enough to take pictures, and those that I did take are on Geniel's camera.
On this trip we had fun going to Zion, swimming in the pool, playing ping-pong and pool, as wellas the arcade room. I even got Mom to try a car racing one! Of course we also enjoyed eachother's company. We played Harry Potter Clue, Rook (normal and five handed), and obviously there were countless Scrable games. We also watched "What about Bob," introuduced Grandma to "The Man Who Knew Too Little," and a new one for me, "Always." We also went to the Zion Outlets, which proved to be quite a fun way to spend a day.
All in all, I'd say we had a great trip, aside from Mom and Michael being sick.

Travel with Shell, not the gas company!
Just so we're all clear, the name of my blog does not-in fact- refer in any way to the Shell gas station!! So there! I admit that my nickname does have some similarities with the unfortunately named gas company, but this blog is about me and not about oil prices or any advertising gimick.

Updated Blog
So I want to thank Amanda, Genevieve, and my mom for helping me figure out my blog. I love my new background, and I even have a playlist now! I am loving having Genevieve and her family here, and will be sad to see them go. I cannot wait until Lisa's come too! Gen also taught me how to use Swaptree.com. I made my first exchange today, and now I just need to ship it out.

Well, this is interesting!
I have decided that since my oldest niece has a blog already, I should definately get with the times and make one of my own. Lisa and Amanda were both supposed to show me how to do this, but it would appear that time with each sister is swiftly spent on other projects: family pictures, and a piano! :D Anyway, this is my very first post, and hopefully I'll figure out how to do more very soon.
