Disneyland

ImageWe went to Disneyland in February and had a blast! I think this was the highlight of Jed's life so far! He was so excited to see Lightning McQueen and Mater!
ImageThe weather was great!
ImageAnytime Jed couldn't ride a ride because he was to little we would go to the carousel and he loved every minute of it!
ImageHe literally fell asleep on his feet on the bus back to our hotel one night!
ImageOf course you can't have a great vacation unless you have great treats to go with it!
ImageWe took a quick visit to the beach on our last day. It was a little cold but still amazing! Kira and Reese found lots of great shells and Jed loved seeing the ocean for the first time!

Spring

ImageI can't believe spring is gone and summer is here! So much has happened in the last three months. Here is a very shortened version...(well comparatively short :) We went to conference in April as a family. We visited Heritage Park, the Planetarium and of course Temple Square.
ImageI took the kids into watch conference and Tom stayed on the grounds with Jed. It was so cold!
ImageWe had a great Easter. We colored eggs at our house with Ashley and her family, then had an Easter Egg hunt and a yummy dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Witters.
ImageThen on Sunday we went to Julies house and had another Easter Egg hunt and great dinner!
ImageReese went catfish fishing with his dad.
ImageKira and Reese had a big birthday part. Here are all the cousins trying out the new mattresses they got for their birthday.
ImageReese had nine candles this year and Kira eleven! They are getting so old! ( What does that say about me! )
ImageI thought this was so cute! Jed was really enjoying his Daddy's company!
ImageThis is a horrible picture but the event was awesome! Every year Purple Sage Elementary gives out awards for the top readers. This year Reese took second place and Kira took first! They both broke the record for points read in one year! I was very proud of them. They worked so hard!
ImageKira and Reese enjoying their fort. Good weather has been hard to come by this spring!
ImageJed loves to help daddy mow the lawn.
ImageWe had such a fun family party when Ashley blessed Kadynce. It was so great to see everyone and the cousins had lots of fun playing!
ImagePretending it is nap time. Funny how it never actually is nap time however!
ImageSo that was our spring in a nutshell!

It's About Time

I know I am so bad at updating my blog! I figured before I got into trouble I better get busy! We have had such a crazy month! Kira is playing volleyball (she is number 8) and she is loving it. We have 2 practices a week and then every Saturday they play in a rotating tournament from 8-3. It has been fun to see her learn some new skills. She has quite a mean hit when she gets the chance! She is also still dancing! They had a competition in Nampa where they earned a first on both their dances, and they also won an overall award and a studio award. Then they had another competition in Pocatello where, again, they earned two firsts and the overall winner! I am a bad mom, and I don't have any pictures from either dance competition. I guess I can try again when we go to Lagoon for the last competition!ImageReese has been busy with soccer, but just like his daddy, he always has time for fishing! This was caught in the Boise River, just by the bridge down in Middleton. Tom says it is so pretty because it is a native. (which for all you non-fishers means it did not come from a hatchery) Reese told me the other day, "Mom when I get up and hear the birds, and it is so sunny and cool in the morning, I just have to go fishing!"
ImageThis was taken at Duff pond. We had decided to go fish for an hour because it was so nice outside. Kira has a fish on the line right here that you can't see. Jed was trying to jump in to get a better look! Fishing actually counts as exercise when you go with Jed! We are really excited for spring. Jed has to go outside every day and throw things in the pond, jump on the tramp, and go down the slide. You have to watch him every second because he is always trying to throw himself into the pond as well! Well, that gives you a little look at what we have been up to for the last 3 months! I will try to do better in the next 3!

Suprise

I found two more pictures that I wanted to share! The first is of Tom when he opened his surprise! He was really surprised! The second is Jed with his new blanket from Grandma Witters. He was so excited about Lightning McQueen, and has to sleep with his new blanket every night!

Christmas Fun

I posted my pictures backwards again. So here is a look at our holidays in reverse! Reese received a new skateboard for Christmas, and Grandma Witters made sure he was nice and safe in pads and a helmet! I thought he looked very cool!Image Kira was very excited about some new dangley earrings, and Reese is always good for a laugh!
Image I think his smile says it all! He was so excited about Buzz, he couldn't do anything else all day, including open any more presents!

Image Christmas Eve was lots of fun with new pj's for everybody from Grandma, and Grandpas new shirt that says "Scrooge still lives".

Image I love watching two year olds open gifts! They are so excited by everything, especially the boxes and paper!

Image We also had a great time playing games and eating dinner with Tom's family, but I didn't get any decent pictures of the fun! It was a great holiday with lots of family and fun! The perfect combo!

Snow Day

We don't always get a lot of snow, so when it does snow we enjoy it to the fullest! First on the list is a snowman! Kira and Reese made this snowman all by themselves, and were very proud!Image Second is sledding behind the 4-wheeler in the field. If we can kick the cats off!

ImageThis is Jed's favorite part!

Image
Next is building a snow fort. Dad helped a little by making a huge pile of snow with his tractor. Then Reese, using his trusty snow shovel, smoothed the sides and began excavating the cave.

Image Add in some snowballs, and end with the snow angels, and you have had a successful snow day!

Image We only hope the snow lasts until Christmas!

Pumpkin Patch and naps

Jed is starting to fight naps! This is what happens when he skips the nap. He crawled under a kitchen chair and fell asleep on my very hard, very uncomfortable wood floor. He slept through piano practice and me making dinner! Very tired boy. Image It is definitely that time of year when you feel the need to visit the nearest pumpkin patch! It is always fun to start with the animals. Jed was very excited when the sheep ate pellets out of his hands.
Image Testing out the pumpkins.

Image
This was on the hay ride to the field. It is so fun to get a picture with all of us in it!

Image Ash, Adi, and Emi enjoying the hay ride. I don't know how (Reese) but Emi ended up with a diaper full of hay! Poor girl! Very uncomfortable!

Image
Julie, Susan and Bella, along with Rene and Emily also came with us. It was fun to have so many there!

Image
It is a good thing grandma came! She made sure Jed couldn't jump off the trailer which he tried to do several times. (Adi was also a little daredevil)!

Image The rule for pumpkins is you have to be able to carry your own! Kira was determined to get the biggest one she could!

Image
Jed loved driving his own tractor! It is his favorite word right now.

Image We can never get a picture when all the kids are looking! We had a great time though.
