    Yesterday, @GovParsonMO waived the requirements for any remaining student teaching and internship activities that would have taken place in our schools. DESE will ensure that these new educators get the certificates they have earned. See the full memo: dese.mo.gov/sites/default/…

    Fake letter circulating on social media, saying DESE will not allow students to move on to the next grade level. NOT TRUE. Disappointed someone chose to joke about something this serious given the anxiety & uncertainty so many students & families are dealing with right now.

    Heartwarming to see so many local schools exploring ways to feed their students during #COVID19 closures, as so many students rely on school meals each day. Proud of our DESE Food/Nutrition team members who worked quickly to secure the necessary USDA waivers to make this happen.
