Merry Christmas everyone, and here's my simple gift to the community.
It's way below the quality I intend to deliver, but at least it can give everyone a little sense of what it's becoming:

- This is a short video showing the progress of my new game. It is a love letter to the great racing classics of the 16-bit era and, of course, also running on a 16-bit console. There is much more to come! #MegaDrive #SegaGenesis #sgdk
00:00 - I've been creating games as a hobby since I was 6 years old, starting with BASIC on the MSX, then moving on to Turbo Pascal, followed by Visual Basic, Lazarus, and now C (w/ SGDK). In this photo, I'm 7, a time when home monitors were TVs, and storage media were cassette tapes.
- - The drifting system is almost ready. - The circuit mode is working (editor mode, here we go!). - The track curves have a more reliable "fake 3D" effect (but it's still far from what I want to create). - All the music now uses PCM percussion. - The car sounds have been improved.
- Canal 3 Expo 2025 - First public showing of Final Fight with 3 players running directly on the console with a multi-tap adapter. @danielmoura79
00:00 - Dig out your multitaps! Although it's still in the testing phase and challenging, the results were surprising! It was possible to have 3 players with 4 enemies on screen simultaneously. Of course, not everything is perfect... So sprites will be cut off at times (see the photo).
- Final Fight MD - New 1 Player+ mode (1P normal mode still exists): - It won't allow a second player to join mid-game - A significant performance boost - Frees up VRAM for a larger number of enemies on screen - Up to 7 enemies at once at times, with almost no performance loss
- Final Fight MD: Patreon supporters couldn't just have one video, so today I released version 0.90b, bringing the project closer to completion. The final version will be released at the end of the year and will be FREE for everyone. What's not ready yet: - Highscore recording
- I'm back! After discovering a heart block and having a pacemaker inserted yesterday, I feel like my life is slowly coming back. So I'm taking the opportunity to post what I like... Pictures speak a thousand words. PS: The colors are not yet fully defined.
- So far, the tracks in France, Germany, and Russia are practically complete, with some polishing needed on the visual effects. #SGDK #MegaDrive #SegaGenesis
- Final Fight MD - MEGA Mode: Look at the screens, you know what this means...
- FFMD: A little taste of what's coming soon! I couldn't keep everything I wanted to. I had to keep the ROM at 4MB (32Mbits) because the bank switching proved unstable, so I removed the alternate palettes and other stuff for now. I'm playing badly... I wasn't having my best days.
00:00 - Today on Patreon I released the first Final Fight MD preliminary WIP DEMO ROM, 32 Mbits version. I'm just sorry for the huge amount of known bugs, which I had to put in the text so as not to surprise my supporters too much. I hope that by the 25th I can resolve most of them.
- As promised, have fun with the Final Fight MD - WIP DEMO OPEN PUBLIC - 24.01.20 mxretrodev.itch.io/final-fight-md
