It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved K9 Officer Snieper today at the age of nine, of natural causes. Snieper has been an esteemed member of our department since 2014, serving alongside his partner, Ben Himan. Rest easy, good boy.

Our warmest congratulations go out to Officer Bryan Henley, who retired today after 24 years with the MLPD. In addition to serving on the critical incident response team, Henley was widely known as the school resource officer at the HS. Thank you for everything. We’ll miss you!

The MLPD wants to wear masks but save our N95s for necessities. Would Mt. Lebanon's talented creators make extra cotton masks? Collection bin in vestibule, rear of the Public Safety Center. Or we can pick up. Email: [email protected]. Thank you! #StayCalmStayHomeStaySafe

We asked, you answered! We have been overwhelmed with donations of homemade masks. All our public safety folks now have masks. Please consider donating additional masks to your family, friends and neighbors who may still need them. Thank you so much! #StayCalmStayHomeStaySafe
