Young people want good movies. I genuinely believe this. They don’t want to be patronized with rehashed stories.

LOTR: THE TWO TOWERS was nominated for six Oscars, including Best Picture, and won two (Sound Editing and Visual Effects). DUNE: PART TWO was nominated for five Oscars, including Best Picture, and has won two. (Sound and Visual Effects). Something to keep in mind.

PARASITE wins. This is a landmark achievement in the Oscars not sucking.

Just read a few WEAPONS reviews written by younger critics. They seem concerned the movie “isn’t about anything.” This is what 10 years of “elevated horror”handholding has created. It’s nice to reflect a bit rather than have the thing explained to you by a character.

Still don't really know what to say about possibly the craziest thing that's ever happened at an Oscars.

Always happy to see Graham Greene on screen. RIP to a great actor.

We don't talk about Bruno. We do, however, talk about The Flash entering the Speed Force.

Chadwick Boseman always struck me as a logical successor to Robert Ryan and Robert Redford, an actor who projected decency, intelligence, and a wry sense of humor, without breaking a sweat. What an actor, what a profound loss.
