    4 years of development later, we finally have something out, and for free!! We've crammed more content into this than many games I've paid for, and we'd love nothing more than for folks to just try it out and give us feedback so we can ensure Slime 64 is the best it can be.

    "good game feel" is definitely the sum total of the audio, animations, vfx, input responsiveness, and underlying number tuning (acceleration curves, max speeds, etc) that said I'm also curious! when I get the time I'll try and record a version with the underlying capsule :D

    he's right you know bonus tip: track the last grounded position and spawn the jump particle there to better hide the coyote time :)

    for sure! It's something I'm still learning myself - spending hours nitpicking the animation blends out of various states does feel like it helped considerably it turns out being able to *feel* an action through a character's motion is important for game feel, go figure 😅
