    Thank you to the voters of HD 50 for reelecting me to the GA State House. The results of some other races this morning are more disheartening, “but the sun comes up and the world still spins.” This is not the time to feel hopeless or disengage. We have a lot more work to do.

    I worked with Dr. Oz in the operating room when I was an anesthesiology resident, and can directly confirm that he, along with the rest of us, wore a mask all day without issue.

    I am in a 2 physician family, and my spouse and I spent the last few days revising our will. Who should be the executor, who has power of attorney, who gets the kids (each with a three-person order of succession) This is for all the people who are not taking #COVID19 seriously.

    There’s a real temptation here to make a joke, or to ask which drugs these are that pharma companies are now paying patients to take, because let’s all get in on it! But honestly, all I can feel is sad that someone this stupid could be our president. Again.

    Odd how right-wing folks offering remedies to gun violence think “rooting out evil in the human heart” is a concrete solution, yet “requiring gun owners to securely store their firearms from minors” is somehow vague and unworkable.

    Vaccinated people are like wet logs, unvaccinated like dry kindling. COVID is the fire. Can wet logs catch fire? Yes. Can wet logs SPREAD fire once they catch flame? Sure. But it’s MUCH harder to start a fire with wet logs, and nearly impossible when there’s no more kindling.
