    Redesigned the big enemy, it used to be a complete mess AI-wise, now hes at once more predictable but also more dangerous cause he's effective at all ranges & tries to block off your shots to protect anyone behind him Also might have overdone it with the enemy count here...

    I made this as a quick joke but I'm afraid now I'll have to incorporate it into the game somehow. Also stage end screen, wondering if I should have the protag talk about herself, or address the player. Big choices

    I'm mixed. On one hand the devs clearly think I'm a toddler who laughs & claps when someone jangles keys in front of me. On the other hand they are right, I am, and these keys are particularly well made & extra jangly

    Shadow of the Ninja Reborn is incredible, go buy it! There is nothing that plays like it, it has a very strong mechanical identity besides just "tight controls & smooth constant forward movement" - it almost feels like a beat em up & fighting game at times,also v commitment heavy

    I wish gamers realized how much of game design is about tradeoffs - choosing the lesser of two evils. Theres an implicit idea that games can be everything, but something gotta give. Sometimes mechanics/dynamics are contradictory on a theoretical level, not just practical

    Starting to resemble an actual boss now! Shots get reflected but push the boss back so there's a bit of back & forth going on. Trying to figure out how to communicate how to fight this thing will be a nightmare
