I've been working with @jakub_c5y to integrate our #GaussianSplatting renderer with #threejs, I created this infinite portal demo as a feature showcase! You can play with it live here lumalabs.ai/luma-web-libra… This is captured in realtime on my mac, here's how it works: 🧵

Particle toy experiment, motion blur is simulated by stretching particles along their velocity in the vertex shader. Cheap trick but worked surprisingly well! (WebGL, three.js, TypeScript)

Hey Twitter :), here's my latest project – it's an interactive fluid simulation that you control with your body. It was commissioned by Lush for their new Shinjuku store – if you find yourself in Japan you can find it on the second floor of the Shinjuku lush store 😄

Trying out our WebGL-based NeRF tech on iridescent materials at the Kelvingrove – this is running realtime and interactively on an iPhone! You can play with it yourself here captures.lumalabs.ai/zenith-eases-e…

Super proud to be working on this! Can't wait for the video. NeRFs are worth exploring if you're in VFX!

This isn't footage... it's a render of a Neural Radiance Field and THIS shot is a big deal because the camera animation is from a DIFFERENT shot. If you still don't get why I'm so excited... look at how the reflections on the ground move. #NeRF

Computer graphics bugs are the best bugs. I have no idea why it's doing that but I am thoroughly enjoying it :)

Thinking about this today. It was hand drawn in 1979 by J.P. Luminet who simulated a black hole with a punch card computer, after a person 64 years before thought hard about trains and clocks, allowing them to dream and know about things so far removed from their reality
    Jean-Pierre Luminet's hand plotted black hole (1979)

    2. Deep Courage: @photografotter. When an online friend told him his kidneys were failing he joked that he could have one of his. He continued to think about what he said and decided it felt right. He is flying to Sweden to have the procedure this month
