- 1/4: Today, HISA announced the members of its Horsemen’s Advisory Group, which will convene monthly to provide feedback to the Authority’s executive team and Standing Committees on the implementation and evolution of HISA’s regulations.

- Thoroughbred trainers Dale Romans, John Sadler and Shug McGaughey and racing and bloodstock manager Gavin Murphy have joined HISA’s Horsemen’s Advisory Group. Their hands-on experience will be invaluable to HISA’s mission to create a fair and safe playing field for the sport.
- (1/3) After a nationwide search, HISA Board of Directors today announced that Lisa Lazarus will serve as CEO starting February 15. Lazarus leads the Equestrian Practice at Morgan Sports Law and has a background in equine safety and anti-doping enforcement matters.
- HISA remains deeply concerned by the unusually high number of equine fatalities at Churchill Downs over the last several weeks and today announced additional measures to ensure the safest environment possible for horses racing at Churchill Downs. More:
