    Pretty fed up with a particular VC firm that offered to co-lead a round with me last March, became unresponsive, restarted diligence 3x with the founder over the last 8 months, only to officially pass on Friday. Absolutely infuriating. 🤯

    He went on to raise three additional funds and has now closed a new fund to invest in biotech, climate and hard tech startups.

    Solo capitalist is the life, folks. ❤️ Meet founders all day...😀 Research a select few...💻 Chase 1 every month or so, and...🏃🏽‍♂️ Spend ZERO time in partner mtgs, 1:1s with associates, partner offsites to "align on firm vision", & fighting for checks you want to write. No thx! 😂

    After Google was founded in her garage, she successfully led AdWords product & YouTube for 25 years. I remember how she came to my defense in a product review meeting with Eric, Larry, & Sergey. Very appreciated. She was an exceptional leader and will be missed by so many. 🙏🏽

    Congrats to @Solugen for raising a $200M Series D! They use corn-derived dextrose (not oil) to manufacture chemicals. @refactor co-led alongside our friends @lowercarbon! I usually doesn't sit on boards but finally joined after the founders asked me a few times over the years! :)

    “Ministry of the Future” just might have been the final straw in convincing me that climate tech (decidedly not web3) should be @refactor’s 3rd pillar. In addition to bio & health, I’ve “dabbled” in the category with a dozen bio+climate co’s to date. Dabble no longer. 🌏🔥🦸🏽‍♂️💪🏽

    According to the story, Zoroastrians were the wise men (Three Magi) who traveled from Persia to visit Jesus, Mary, and family, bringing gifts to celebrate an amazing new soul, the “king of the Jews.” Only 100k of us Zoroastrians left in the world. Doing my part with 2 kids! 😃

    Climate tech is not clean tech. Demand far exceeds supply. These aren’t science projects but real businesses. 💵 So many seed-stage climate founders are building for the present AND the future, aiming for real revenue by the Series A. 💪🏽🌏
