Sannan/Yamanami Keisuke was a real historical person; this quite loosely-inspired fictional version is from the Hakuouki series, primarily based on the first two games. Currently playing him post-transformation and pre-Imperial Tomb Guards, but I change my favored canon point around from time to time.
Basically I consider my version to be Sannan from the Hijikata route.
